From memory our tour was around 9.30am... nice & early. It lasted about 30 minutes and there was only 4 people total in our group. The tour was very informative however the best part, of course, is drinking the fresh, cold, Asahi at the end of the tour. I've always enjoyed Asahi but fresh from the brewery takes it to... More

My husband and I got the concierge at the hotel to call the brewery to book us on an English tour (please do remember to book the tour at least a day in advance if possible) and we were advised by her to take a cab there as its location is a little off the beaten path. We got to... More

The brewery is a little ways away from Hakata and Tenjin stations so we had a bit of difficulty trying to find our way here but we were still able to make it on time. They have organized tours in different languages (Korean and English were available) and the tour isn't too long. I thought the tour was interesting but... More

We were there on Tuesday. We didnt have a reservation but they still fit us in and the tour didnt cost anything. Free Tour, free beer and free juice and snack for the kiddies. This was a really refreshing (not to mention intoxicating) experience after a long and expensive trip in southern Japan.

The Asahi Hakata brewery was very easy to access by subway (Kuko line to Takeshita, then a 2 minute walk). Making a reservation was straight forward, I went to http://www.asahibeer.co.jp/brewery/hokkaido/tour.html, picked a date and time, entered my details, and waited for Asahi to confirm my reservation over e-mail, which they did after one day. Having already taken the Japanese Asahi... More

Free Asahi beer!!! Upside: You get three whole glasses per person to try! Downside: We had only 15 minutes to drink them. The tour was pretty interesting and fun. Even the non-drinker in our group had a good time. At the end you can sample three pretty generous glasses of Asahi. All around worthwhile. The Factory was a bit off... More

The tour was very informative and showed all steps of production as well as details about the beers and products Asahi makes. We had our own personal tour guide because there was only the two of us English speakers there at the time. She was very kind and knowledgeable about beer. The tour was very well organized and laid out.... More

The Asahi Brewery tour is very popular, with many large groups arriving in tour buses. But not to worry, individuals and and small groups are assigned to their own groups. It's all very well organized. You should make an advance reservation, however. You get to see the production process with good descriptive exhibits along the way. We were especially impressed...
