Akihabara is an amazing place full of flashing lights and crazy/kind of annoying sounds, you want electronics, games, manga, anime, toys and even the odd scantily dressed girl in the maids outfit Akiha has it. There's not much I can say about this place as if you're thinking of visiting am sure you've already done quite a lot of research... More

Absolutely electrifying district! My inner-geek has been squealing with joy. Tons & tons of hidden gems scattered around the city. Manga, anime, & gaming as far as the eye can see. There where also maids & school girls scattered around the streets advertising various maid cafés. It was interesting watching their interaction with the local Japanese men who were trying... More

Most famous otaku-ish place in Japan. Even for an American I was really impressed by this place. You can find pretty much anything on Earth here, from electronic gadgets to adult toys. Not to mention there are tons of weirdos everywhere.

You can't believe your eyes: the electric town really exist. It looks like an independent city made by videogames, anime and manga, models and cosplay. A classic distric of Tokyo also for the Western otaku.

Prior to coming here, I read a lot of how this place is so much of an otaku heaven. And when I reached, it totally did not disappoint me. A lot of electric gizmos, maid cafe, manga, trading card shop and etc shop around. Dont forget to check out Don Quijote, they sell all kind of things from groceries to... More

I love this place. Once you get off the station, there is an anime shop and a tourist shop where you can get free wifi access. There are a lot of electronics shops nearby, don Quito shop for cheap finds and what I love most is the alley where you can eat Japanese style. When you go to Japan, make... More

The small district of Akihabara for all lovers of electronics and manga comics this is the right place. Just outside the subway station in correspondence with Akihabara we were literally involved in this surreal atmosphere. A street full of shops full of manga, even people dressed as cartoon characters inviting passers-by to enter the retail to buy these particular magazines.... More

So I have been in Tokyo for 2 days now. Am staying a 10min walk to Akiba and have gone both days and I am still yet to check out all the main stores. So many cool little stores that sell so much awesome stuff. Felt like I was a kid again. Found a neat little store named, 'Golden Days'... More
