Beautiful architecture

Creative and stunning design of Japanese architecture. It's worth to drop by and enjoy the breeze of wind and sea side of Yokohama port!

Impressive build of a pier. I chose to relax and read a book in the sunshine for a few hours. Other than that, there isn't anything to do.

One impressive terminal! We were there to board our cruise--Diamond Princess, then on turn-around day for our back-to-back cruise, and lastly on disembarkation. This huge building can be confusing when you first stepped in but we figured everything out after the first time. Luggage drop-off on the left as you enter, then walk all the way to the back of... We embarked Diamond Princess cruise from this Big Wharf terminal 3 weeks ago. There were scores of volunteers waiting for passangers of the cruise helping with bringing suitcases as well as general information. The boarding was amazingly smooth and quick! My father needed a wheelchair and the volunteer helping us brought us a wheelchair readily. We find the people there... More

I'd see the pictures of this place on TA so I decided to see it for myself. Sounds kind of boring but you have to see it to believe it. It’s hard to describe but it’s an architectural piece on a large scale made with wood decking riding and falling in unusual protrusions. As you walk to the end of... More

My cruise started and ended here - a lovely amenity. I would have liked to walk on the grass roof but it was raining.

It is definitely worth the walk, however, do not expect too much there. You just see the skyscrapers along the water, some piers and a nice floral garden nearby - a nice change after a day in a rather greay city of concrete and glass.

Architectural students would fancy this. I spent almost 2 hours roaming around its vast premises admiring its simple but yet captivating design. While I was there a couple were having their pre-wedding shots taken by their photographer. The coastline overseen by this wharf is simply beautiful. It's a nice to spot for a family picnic as there are some areas... More

Lovely to walk around the pier looking at boats, reading the funny Japanese English signs in the fresh air. Good walkway with nice gardens.

The Big Wharf is a must see (or better, must step there) if you happen to stop by Yokohama. An unconventional shape, build on wood, with the occasional newlywed couple stopping by to take memorable pictures. The view is breathtaking, both of the city side and of the Yokohama bridge.
