This is mainly built to handle the cruise ships that dock in Yokohama. And like all things Japanese does it with great efficiency, courtesy and friendliness. The building itself is almost a work of art that seems to flow. It offers numerous places for visitors to view the ships docked alongside, or just look at the water front. There are... More

The actual pier is not an attraction as it stands, but it does have value if you want to get away from life for a while. The stroll along the pier on a warm sunny day is peaceful and relaxing, with good views of the surrounding water frontage and has easy access to other parts of the area. A short... More

As I am a retired carpenter, the decking on this pier is a work of art and also encompassed shops, restaurants and good parking - worth a visit even if not going on a cruise

We boarded our Princess cruise from this pier and can confirm that it's probably the best cruise pier in the world, and we've been in most of the others.

Boarded the Diamond Princess cruise from here. Epitome of Japanese efficiency and order. Very large embarkation hall. They were able to handle 3000 of us passenger with ease. Very quick check in and check out when we disembarked. Abundant taxis and buses available to Haneda or Narita

A beautiful and modern pier, offers nice views to the city. A good place if you have free time, but if you go to Minato Mirai area, you can miss it.

The pier and it's area are beautifully designed. The pier itself looks like giant ship or wave structure. Wood and white colours are simple, leaving room for multi-faceted construction. It gives overall impression of simplicity and filling in surrounding sea. Nice place for a walk. Also be prepared to meet many young couples doing photo shoot.

Pleasant walk with good views of Yokohama Bay and attractive area to rest a while. The model of Yokohama Bay area inside the departure hall building was well done and interesting as were the models of different ships using the port over the years.

Yokohama, the port city is very walkable and it's easy to get to from a direct Tokyo subway. WIth its port background and walkability its easy to visit all the sites as you cross bridge after bridge. One particular one that takes just that bit more time due to its size is Osanbashi Pier with fabulous views of Yokohama and... More
