No ordinary wharf and a great place for a picnic, stroll, or just to enjoy the view

I'd see the pictures of this place on TA so I decided to see it for myself. Sounds kind of boring but you have to see it to believe it. It’s hard to describe but it’s an architectural piece on a large scale made with wood decking riding and falling in unusual protrusions. As you walk to the end of... More

My cruise started and ended here - a lovely amenity. I would have liked to walk on the grass roof but it was raining.

It is definitely worth the walk, however, do not expect too much there. You just see the skyscrapers along the water, some piers and a nice floral garden nearby - a nice change after a day in a rather greay city of concrete and glass.

Architectural students would fancy this. I spent almost 2 hours roaming around its vast premises admiring its simple but yet captivating design. While I was there a couple were having their pre-wedding shots taken by their photographer. The coastline overseen by this wharf is simply beautiful. It's a nice to spot for a family picnic as there are some areas... More

Lovely to walk around the pier looking at boats, reading the funny Japanese English signs in the fresh air. Good walkway with nice gardens.

The Big Wharf is a must see (or better, must step there) if you happen to stop by Yokohama. An unconventional shape, build on wood, with the occasional newlywed couple stopping by to take memorable pictures. The view is breathtaking, both of the city side and of the Yokohama bridge.

This is the international cruise ship dock. Some famous architect built it, and as docks go, it's pretty cool. Not at all worth a trip by itself, it's worth walking out on as part of a larger trip to the Minato-Mirai / Yamashita Koen area.

It's a very interesting place - transforming passenger terminal to a futuristic architectural art work. I was quite impressed w/ creativity and beauty. Size of Osanbashi was huge and massive - yet could be a quite romantic place.

This facility is well worth a visit as part of a walk around the refurbished waterfront area of Yokohama. There were no cruise ships docked when we visited but we walked the wooden/grassed structure which reminded me of the overturned hull of a giant ship! Inside is a big arrivals hall and a performance space. It felt very functional and... More

This is a well designed cruise ship terminal and park. Our cruise ship docked there. This ship terminal is totally different than the other terminals. It incorporates grass and floor boards that look like a skate board park, a few souvenir shops and fee Wi-Fi inside the terminal. In the early afternoon there were locals and tourists coming here to... More
