If you want to walk long hours, this will be the best place developed by Mitsubishi long years ago. You can walk, eat, drink, shop and relax in well connected area including hotels , restaurants, metro, Rail stations, boats , cruises, sightseeing and walk around the bay. Very safe even late time in the night similar to must of Japanese... More

Seems like a very new area with heaps of good Hotels. The walk from the Incontinental Yokohama to Sakuragicho train station passed through 3 shopping centres so you are definitely spoiled for choice with both shopping and dining. Has it's own train line (Minatomirai Line) heading to China Town in Yokohama

Starting off from Yokohama station you have the walk through Nissan HQ the past Yokohama Marinos training ground then down to the water side, walk through the park, past the iconic Intercontinental Hotel, then off through to Yamashita park. A good few cafés and restaurants and bars along the way.

Best place to start any trip in Japan. Catch the NEX from NRT and always go to Yokohama and Minato Mirai. Love this area, shopping, food and spectacular views!

I've lived in Yokohama for 6 months and Minato Mirai was the place where I could go everyday and never get bored. It's the most romantic area to stroll along, alone or with a date. If you're looking for something to 'DO,' there's not much. But if you're more on the 'SEE,' this place is a perfect spot. Go there... More

Yokohama is not a really touristic city, at least not for a first or even a second trip to Japan. However, if you go there, Minato Mirai 21 is a must, better by night. The area has a lot of attractions, the ferris wheel, the Nippon Maru, small attractions park, restaurants, the red brick warehouse, noodles museum, etc. The view... More

I'm fortunate to live nearby minatomirai 21. It has many shops, few museums, a lot of tourists attraction including the'nippon maru', many international restaurants, and also a concert hall. There is also an amusement park, Cosmo world nearby. One of the main attraction is the red brick warehouse 'aka renga', it has some souvenir shops and some restaurants inside, the... More

Nice views with modern shops, restaurants by the sea. Looks better at night with lightings, large varieties of food available although it more expensive than Chinatown. Very safe to walk about at night and you can see young kids moving about on their own.

Went there twice! Once at night and in the day for visiting museum. Nice place for walking and pictures. Though food wise nothing much, the red warehouse though have food is not impressive. Less crowded than Tokyo too.
