It was one of the 7 modes of Transportation we took for reaching Gora. The ship has a small cafe, souvenir shop, where you can also buy the hakone sightseeing ship kitkat. They also sell first class cabin seats on board, but for me it was not really worth seatig there. The views on balcony are better.

I really enjoyed the cruise on board the pirate ship. Just being out in the water on a ship really takes you to another place(figuratively and literally). Besides the ship, I think seeing Mt. Fuji while sailing along lake Ashi just adds to the trip. No rough seas here, just smooth sailing. The kids that were sailing along with us... More

A drive from mount fuji to hakone would remind you of the picturesque landscape of switzerland. During autumn u see leaves of all colors and hues. Its a dream drive thru the silver grass of Hakone , in autumn. In case u take a conducted tour from Tokyo, pl avoid the lunch package. Take an option only for travel ,... More

The grandiose look of the ships goes perfectly with the setting ,the lake ,Mt Fuji in The distance ,picture postcard . That aside the ships are very spacious ,makes for A fantastic photo Opp . The service is timely ,there is also a first class section for A price . A small coffee, drink stand is available on the lower deck... More

The title pretty much sums it up! Some good views but overall pretty average boat ride although a good way to complete a loop around the hakone sites.

It was an average boat ride in the lake. Definitely worth to stand on the deck and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

If you are in the area and have the Hakone pass then you might as well as it forms part of the tourist route along with the cable cars. As for the boat ride, the views are quite nice but nothing breathtaking in my opinion. We went first class so that we could see the views from the top, I... More

It was a fun ride, especially for the kids (age 5 and 7). We got the first class tickets (only a few dollars more with the Hakone Free Pass), and I'd say it was well worth it! You got seats right at the very front. Make sure you board early so you can grab those front seats. There are only... More

Arrived at the harbour after alighting from the ropeway. The ride is most welcome after all the tiring bus and train rides around the areas. Have a moment of peace and enjoy the view as the ship cruised across the lake and arrived at Hakone-machi.
