The Natural History Museum, Bulawayo has made a number of changes and additions to its displays including the long awaited Coelacanth display and Mzilikazi's bust. So well worth a visit.

Every year, we as the Natural History Museum, Bulawayo join the rest of the world to celebrate International Museum Day which falls on the 18th of May 2012. All are invited to come for a hands-on experience with speciments and question and answer sessions in the galleries with all the curators.

My husband & I visited this museum and had mixed feelings. Having volunteered for the Natural History Museum in our own city, I was saddened by the physical condition of the Bulawayo museum (exhibit cases with burned out lights, old tattered carpeting, couches with torn seats and stuffing foam visible).
