The big cats and wild dogs are certainly worth seeing, even if they were a bit annoyed by the free roaming Alsatian dog. I went with the family and found the staff once engaged very knowledgable and friendly. If you don't talk to them they will probably assume you want to be left alone, If you ask a questions you will find the entire staff very knowledgable and really forthcoming. Reminded me of Dubai Zoo... which isn't a compliment. Smelly, dirty cages. Mangy animals. Apathetic staff. Please donate what is left of the animals to someone who can give them a good home. More

Situated on the main Gwanda Road, 23km east of Bulawayo, Chipangali provides a home for orphaned, sick or abandoned wild animals. There are lion, leopard, cheetah, black rhino, and many species of antelope and large collection of birds.
