We went at the start of November when it is dry season and as Zambia has a power station that uses some of the water there is very little flow from this side but still impressive to look from one end to the other of the one-mile gorge. We were lucky to be staying in a nearby hotel that gave... More

There was a larger crowd when I visited at the end of the dry season, but that may be because it was Zambia's 50th independence day. Don't let the photos online fool you - this place isn't as secluded as it looks. A short drive from Livingstone, and a pretty popular tourist destination. The baboons in the carpark will attempt... Even though the water levels are lower at this time of year, you must not miss such a natural wonder. The views are breathtaking and the photo ops are abundant. We heard the best way to see the falls is a helicopter ride but walking the paths makes it much more personal.

I went on a Helicopter flight over the Falls which was good.. you could see the large water catchment feeding the falls. You cant expect to see rushing water when you go there in the dry season .Good sight from the air.

This is an amazing place. They rent rain ponchos. We wore 2 layers and still got wet. Bring sufficient water protection for your camera and lenses. they are going to get wet. The canyons are deep. We saw 5 rainbows at one time. Also take the time to walk us the river before it flows over. It is a huge... More

I have been to the falls on two separate trips. During the first, the waters were lower and there was no need to a poncho. During the second trip, I assumed I wouldn't need one, but it was very wet! It was fun, anyway! Just to be safe, always rent a poncho onsite if you do not bring one with... More

A lovely place to visit. We went on the 'upstream' path and were able to paddle safely in the mighty Zambezi River! The paths to the falls gave us a fantastic view of the gorge and a chance to see the bridge and learn about Cecil Rhodes dream of building a railway from Cape Town to Cairo, passing the falls... What a frightening yet beautiful experience it was to jump into the Devil's Pool on top of the Victoria Falls!!!! We were so close to the huge amount of water crushing down behind us!!!! My god! That really was an overwhelming and unique experience!!

I spent many years of my childhood in Zambia, and we visited Victoria Falls almost every year. It is spectacular and should not be missed if you are anywhere near the area. All types of natural beauty abounds, the boiling pot, Zambezi River, wild animals to name a few, so make the most of your visit. I am dying to... More
