There is a one-to-one customer relationship and very local cuisine. It is very affordable, with an extended time of adventure and it goes into shallow water and around the island. I've tried other boat cruises around Zambia, they're not affordable or more adventurous than this one. Taonga was longer in time and longer in distance.

I would recommend this boat over other more expensive tour operators in Livingstone. Purely because it was all local staff that I dealt with and it is better value at $65 for 2 hours boat cruise. Furthermore, the bigger boats set off after us so our little boat (space for 30 people, only 5 of us on board!) set the... More

I am a Livingstone "home boy" residing in Lusaka. The originality & basic lay out/aproach is what you are looking for.The owner now makes his own "in house boerewors" from ordinary to his Famous Ring Sting Wors, marinates the chicken with an old secret recipe,as well as the marinated spareribs are to DIE for.The informal warmth & rustic swing you get at... This is much better than the upmarket cruises with their big boats, ordinary seats and no real food. The owner built the boat himself out of drums and rafia and wood and metal. WONDERFUL. The shade is all over the boat from a rafia shade. You sit in large colonial wicker armchairs and their is plenty of space. this is... More

I looked into the Booze cruises on the Zambezi River and most seem to be very short, and around the 55usd mark. I was offered a 2½hr cruise for 45usd around an island and to meet the legendary “Duncan the crocodile” , Duncan believes that the booze cruise boat is his mother , he sleeps under the boat and follows... The river cruise is worth it for the pretty sunset and the wildlife is quite good on the sides of the river. However the 'booze cruise' as it is advertised is somewhat lacking. The meal was ok but fairly ordinary. The 'all snacks included' was one bowl of pop corn! The drinks did not include eg sparkling water or gin... More
