A great opportunity to interact with lions. Thrilling from start to finish. The staff made us feel comfortable around the lions and nerves turned to joy and excitement.

A great project and amazing experience. We went with Saf Par Excellence because it is associated with ALERT which sounds like a well run organisation.

You may think this is some sort of gimmicky tourist attraction when you read up about it - truth is, I was a bit sceptical beforehand, but the care and love that goes into this project is amazing. Following a video, we were split into our groups and headed out on our walk. We were guided the whole time and... More

Good to find out more about the ALERT project to increase wild lion populations and to interact with these magnificent creatures during the first phase of their journey to produce wild born cubs which will eventually form new prides to re-establish their role as natural predators in a delicate eco system. Well worth the money to share the experience and... More

We really enjoyed the walk with the lions, just wished we had had a chance to play with some of the babies- they are so cute!

Well worth the expense. The experience of walking with the lions and being able to touch them was great. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Experience appears very safe for a walk with "wild" animals.

Me and my husband spent the whole day with Lion Encounter, we arrived at 6:30 and left at 5:30 that evening. It all started with our Lion Walk which was utterly amazing. To walk with these magnificent animals, to kneel beside and stroke them in their territory was something that will stay with me forever. We ate our meals with... More

What an amazing experience. My sister and I were so excited to walk with lions. Friends and family thought we were crazy but this was a bucket list item to us. We were in a very small group of only 4. It was so fun to be up and close to the lions. Our 3 lions were 12 months old.... More

This is really worth doing, the lions are of different ages, but we walked with three 18 month old cubs who were pretty big, but the guides were brilliant and it was a chance of a lifetime as these are semi wild beasts who will be released into the wild eventually. The money raised goes towads lion preservation in Africa... More

It was very good. We felt safe all the time. You get to see a wild lion up close. I would do it once.
