My Son is worth visiting but don't expect Angkor Wat or even a 10th of it! It's a small complex of towers etc and most of teh atrifacts have been taken away to the Champ museum in Danang....great place to visit but really only need an hour or so here as not really enough to see and too many people... more

We did a bike trip there from Hoi an, and it was fabulous. You get to enjoy much of the towns and scenery along the trip to My Son. Just keep in mind to plan well for the trip as the roads can get rather tricky. If you think you are lost, do approach some of the locals. Some of... more

If you get there you will have read about it on the net or on your guide book. An amazing complex of temples built by the Chams who inhabited that area long ago. It is easy reachable by Danang but is closer to Hoi An. However, I recommend you to stay in Danang if you visit the site, Hoi An... more

The ancient Champa ruins of My Son are beautifully situated within the jungle. The site itself is rather small, and you can explore the ruins in about an hour and a half. If you've been to Angkor, as we had been just prior to this visit, My Son is not necessarily worth devoting a day of sightseeing to. It is... more

This is billed as My Son Holyland tour but it should simply be labeled Cham Ruins Tour. It is about a 90 minute drive from Da Nang so the entire visit takes arout five hours round trip. It's well worth the time. I've visited the Maya and Inca Ruins in Central & South America and really enjoyed the opportunity to... more

The My Son Sanctuary is a culturally amazing place to visit. The ruins here are one of many sites of Cham ruins throughout central Vietnam, but one of the best preserved and easily accessible. Getting here is an easy drive from Hoi An or the Da Nang downtown. It's been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, so receives funds for... more
