A really interesting tour, it is lovely to see rural life in action. The students were very knowledgeable and keen to show us around, I was pleased to see that the money that we had to pay 'for the community', actually got given to the people that we visited while we were there. The ferry rides were fun!

Great tour. The tour guides were very friendly and could answer all of your questions. Truly a unique experience being able to go into the homes of local people. Don't miss out on this one. I would definitely recommend this experience.

We took a morning bike tour to Kim Bong Village with our family of 5. We had three friendly and knowledgeable guides, with great communication skills. We rented bikes on the spot, rode to the local ferry, ferried over to Kim Bong Island and got to visit boat makers, mat weavers, a family temple and a noodle maker. We got... More

Hoa, Luu, and Hoan are upbeat, friendly, and positive guides. We appreciated the fact they waited for us even though we were half an hour late, as we got lost. They greeted us with wide smiles and they looked forward to guiding us, as much as we looked forward to being guided. On this tour, our guides were concerned about... More

Had a fantastic day with Hoi An Free Tour. The guides are lovely and really eager to show you around and support the local communities as well. I did the Kim Bong bicycle tour and I am glad I did. Cam Kim island is all you would want to see in Vietnam: people still doing manual jobs, rice paddies and... More

I found out about Hoi An Free Day Tours through my guidebook and have to say that this the most authentic experience I've had so far in Vietnam (Ive done HCMC, Nha Trang and Hoi An). Our group of 5 had 3 helpful guides (unheard of)! Tom, Thuy and Tuyet were 3 students from the nearby Danang University studying English... More

We took our 3 children, aged 11, 9 and 7 on this bicycle tour and it was fantastic! We all loved it. Fun riding through the streets of Hoi An and great fun on the island. Rice noodle making was so much fun. Ferry trip across and back was fun too. Great way to see more that just the city... More

We went as a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 children (11yrs, 9yrs, 7yrs). The guides are local uni students giving up their time to learn English. Make sure you ask for Ngan Thuy, Tuan, Duyen Ha. They were brilliant. Very knowledgeable and very helpful. Youngest sat on back of my bike which was great. Got to go across... More

Run by students this half day cycle tour takes some beating. A quick 10 min ride to the boat and you pop across to a lovely little island which has wide flat concrete paths to cycle on. The cycling is very easy and not strenuous eat all as you are stopping frequently to visit the boat making, bed mat making... More

Weren't sure what to expect. Greeted by group of very enthusiastic students keen to communicate and guide us. Hired bikes on the spot. Very hot day but still very pleasant surroundings and welcoming destinations. Students exceptionally helpful. Some with excellent English skills others still refining but very enjoyable day and lots of laughs along the way. Great insight into behind... More
