Very friendly students take you in small groups to tour a village area. Even the locals are very friendly with no pressure to buy anything, just a small donation which they tell you about up front. Guides are very personable and helpful. Our guide spoke very good english. No drawbacks that I can think of, it was great.

I went on the cycle tour to the carpentry village. We went through some small villages and visited a house where the Vietnamese people make rice paper and noodles. It was really interesting and we were shown how to do it. We also went to a place where Vietnamese children make bamboo sleeping mats and to a temple. It was... More

I had a great time seeing the local handcrafting people at work. We visited a few places in their actual working place, tasted some nice fresh made noodles (like made in front of you by a 1000 years old grandma), there was no hidden cost or anything complicated with this tour. It was a really good time. Our local guide... More

Visiting Hoi An is great, but its a little insular. Getting outside tourist areas can be hard but the Day Tour group organized by the students at the local university makes it easy to explore. We took our hotel bicycles and kids on the tour for the morning. The island was beautiful and we got to peak inside the lives... More

A nice easy bike ride with beautiful countryside and 4 nice stops. You see things you would not otherwise. And the guides are very good.

We emailed at short notice and they replied very promptly and were able to arrange a tour for the following afternoon. Our original student was busy with exams so they contacted a local tour guide, called Man, who was brilliant. Very very highly recommend him. He was funny and made the day very enjoyable. Excellent knowledge about the history, culture... More

This tour was very enjoyable and I highly recommend it. There are very small fees for the ferry, bike rental and donations to the locals who invite you to their home and demonstrate how they make mats/rice paper/boats which have been passed down for generations. You bike by beautiful fields and rivers and it is a great way to see... More

We went along on the free Hoi An bike tour. Only had to pay for ferry crossing and small donations to places we visited. The staff are fun and energetic. We visited temples, rice paper making home, reed/mat making home, boat building yard. The day was lots of fun and free. The young tour guides love their jobs and made... More
