We met Phuoc at the market where we purchased all the ingredients for the course, he told us what each ingredient was for, where it was grown and how to use it. Then we went back to his restaurant for the cooking class and tour of the herb garden. Then the class, we all got to cook each dish and... More

I found coconut tours on trip advisor and arranged with the friendly and knowledgeable Phuoc online a food tour and a cooking 'event'. everything went smooth and we were picked up at our hotel on time and went by bike to the markets for a much needed (by me) introduction and understanding to the food markets. If only we had... More

Whilst we had some free time during our visit to Hoi An, our guide suggest we try Coconut Tours. The owner, Phuoc, met us at our hotel and and took us by cyclo through the streets of Hoi An out to his grandparents home and village. Phuoc then walked us around the neighbouring gardens of vegetables and herbs explaining how... More

We had a great day! Phouc met us at our hotel and we went to the city center. At the market, he led us through and explained many of the foods, from the fresh fish to meat, to herbs. We threw a bunch of food in our market baskets and rode bikes out to the countryside to Phouc's families home.... More

I met with Phuoc the day before my class to explain what I was looking for: a market tour but also a class to show me some dishes not common on menus in Vietnam, rather, dishes often done at home. I was lucky that he didn't have another booking that day, so we did a one-on-one class. I loved being... More

My husband and I were excited to come to Hoi An for the amazing good we've heard about here and thought it would be a great place to take a cooking course. Because of Tet, many places were not offering them this week, but we were recommended to Phuoc at Coconut Tours and we were so happy it all worked... More

Phuoc's cooking class was recommended to us before leaving Australia and we were certainly not disappointed. Phuoc met us at our hotel and and took us around the local food market explaining the different food used in Vietnamese cuisine while also buying the ingredients we needed for our cooking class. We peddled out to his grandparents farm which was an... More

Our tour group added this cooking class and got what was easily a real highlight of the entire visit to Vietnam. Some of us even rode out to the class on bicycles available at our hotel. The walk through the local market and Phuoc's personal tour and demonstration out in the farm fields was informative and enlightening. The actual class... More

My husband and I took the cooking class this morning. We enjoyed the market experience, it was great to learn about different types of food we don't have back home. The ride to the cooking school was enjoyable, a great way to see a different side of Vietnam. Phuoc easily catered for our dietary requirements (vegetarian) which we are grateful... More

The whole experience was awesome. From the market tour to the bike ride out to the village to helping in the garden and doing the cooking class, I would highly recommend this tour. Learnt so much about the local cuisine and agriculture. The food was delicious and the foot massage to finish was amazing. Worth every cent.
