We spent an excellent day with Phuoc. Vietnamese cooking class was our program for the day. We started out exploring the local market, did our shopping, tried some local specialties here and there and learnt a lot about Vietnamese cooking ingredients. Afterwards we were cycling out of town to a little house near the river, where we relaxed a bit... More

Phouc has some great TripAdvisor reviews and he really lived up to his reputation. Arranging a photographic expedition, he didn't blink when I told him I wanted to get to the My Son relics for sunrise, even though that meant a 4:30am pickup from my hotel. I then asked him to take me to meet and photograph a range of... More

We had enquired about Coconut tours before traveling, not realising that Phouc is the one man company. He had indicated he should be available, and when we rang him after arriving in Hoi An he was available next day with no other clients booked. So we enjoyed a customised half day tour, cycling from our hotel 2km outside old town,... More

We met Phuoc in the morning at our hotel where he had arranged for us to ride bicycles to the market, Here we bought our ingredients and got a good tour or the very interesting market. It was then a very pleasant ride to Phuoc's place on the river where we got to cool down a bit with a delicious... More

Phouc met me at my hotel the day before the tour to make sure I had everything I needed while visiting Hoi An - though I was with a tour group he just wanted to be sure. The morning of the tour he met me and a few others at my hotel and arranged the hotel van to shuttle us... More

We met Phuoc at the market where we purchased all the ingredients for the course, he told us what each ingredient was for, where it was grown and how to use it. Then we went back to his restaurant for the cooking class and tour of the herb garden. Then the class, we all got to cook each dish and... More

I found coconut tours on trip advisor and arranged with the friendly and knowledgeable Phuoc online a food tour and a cooking 'event'. everything went smooth and we were picked up at our hotel on time and went by bike to the markets for a much needed (by me) introduction and understanding to the food markets. If only we had... More

Whilst we had some free time during our visit to Hoi An, our guide suggest we try Coconut Tours. The owner, Phuoc, met us at our hotel and and took us by cyclo through the streets of Hoi An out to his grandparents home and village. Phuoc then walked us around the neighbouring gardens of vegetables and herbs explaining how... More

We had a great day! Phouc met us at our hotel and we went to the city center. At the market, he led us through and explained many of the foods, from the fresh fish to meat, to herbs. We threw a bunch of food in our market baskets and rode bikes out to the countryside to Phouc's families home.... More

I met with Phuoc the day before my class to explain what I was looking for: a market tour but also a class to show me some dishes not common on menus in Vietnam, rather, dishes often done at home. I was lucky that he didn't have another booking that day, so we did a one-on-one class. I loved being... More
