The food lovers' guide to Hoi An. Our tour is in two parts: firstly we take guests on a walking tour of the markets and streets meeting the local producers and vendors; we then invite guests back to our private air-conditioned dining room in the Ancient Town to taste carefully chosen examples of this food bought directly from the producers - most of whom we see or meet on the tour. The idea behind our tour is simple:in Hoi An there are around 120 restaurants catering to visitors with another 400 or so vendors and eating establishments catering to locals with foods that don't usually appear on visitor menus. This is the food of the local Hoi An people - some call it street food - many with recipes passed down from generation to generation. Our tour gives visitors a safe opportunity to try these foods - we ensure the food is handled hygienically and provide a comfortable venue for the tastings.

Why? the advice from Sen and Neville will make you stay all the better, from food to shopping the recommendations and advice are faultless, I wasn't able to do the tour until virtually my last day, what a shame, though Neville did help me out with restaurant recommendations that were spot on before I went on the tour. Sen is... More

Neville, who operates the tour and provides a non-stop commedic commentatry for nearly 2 hours in a restaurant provides real insight to the culture as well as the culinary delights of Vietnam. However, first things first: We were picked up at 7:20am and taken to a small cafe on the edge of a market. Here we were introduced to a... More

The food tour gives you insight into the local culture and Neville & Colleen are contributing back to their community as well as providing travel and shopping tips. We tasted so-oo many delicious things! Thank you.

This special experience is unlike any other. Neville Dean is the most gracious and entertaining guide to the history of 50 foods, and allows the funny and endearing Sen to guide you through the alleys and back streets of the market place purchasing the most tantalizing foods along the way. The time flies and you don't want it to end,... More

We have done this food tour on each of our 4 annual visits to Hoi An and still find it exceptional... good value and a very enjoyable way to spend a morning. We are given an array of helpful information, and delicious food to sample. This was the first occasion we had the pleasure of Sen hosting the beginning of... More

Although we are still on our honeymoon (!!) in Hoi An we wanted to add to the glowing reviews regarding Neville's food tour. It is quite simply a 'must do' on your trip to Hoi An if not Vietnam in its entirety. We were also hugely impressed with Sen, Neville's assistant in the tour. She provided a unique and priceless... I can't really add to the tremendous reviews already posted by TripAdvisor members. This food tour was an absolute delight and one of the highlights of the trip. Neville is entertaining, warm and passionate about the local culture, food and people.

We had a great time and had plenty to eat. We were just left hungry for more of Neville's wonderful insight, humour and knowledge. I can recommend this for a little bit of fun.

This tour is not to be missed! We were lucky enough to snag the last 2 spots on the tour with Neville the day before we were leaving Hoi An and we were so happy we did!! After hemming and hawing about the price right before we booked, we decided to just go for it as it seemed like the... More

...but the owner (I presume) never sent me the email to book a tour. I called and spoke to him on a Friday. He said the next tour was on Monday at 7:30 am and to send him an email. He said he would email back a list of recommended places to eat & visit till then. I thought this... More
