Owner description: The food lovers' guide to Hoi An. Our tour is in two parts: firstly we take guests on a walking tour of the markets and streets meeting the local producers and vendors; we then invite guests back to our private air-conditioned dining room in the Ancient Town to taste carefully chosen examples of this food bought directly from the producers - most of whom we see or meet on the tour. The idea behind our tour is simple:in Hoi An there are around 120 restaurants catering to visitors with another 400 or so vendors and eating establishments catering to locals with foods that don't usually appear on visitor menus. This is the food of the local Hoi An people - some call it street food - many with recipes passed down from generation to generation. Our tour gives visitors a safe opportunity to try these foods - we ensure the food is handled hygienically and provide a comfortable venue for the tastings.

I can't really add to the tremendous reviews already posted by TripAdvisor members. This food tour was an absolute delight and one of the highlights of the trip. Neville is entertaining, warm and passionate about the local culture, food and people.

We had a great time and had plenty to eat. We were just left hungry for more of Neville's wonderful insight, humour and knowledge. I can recommend this for a little bit of fun.

This tour is not to be missed! We were lucky enough to snag the last 2 spots on the tour with Neville the day before we were leaving Hoi An and we were so happy we did!! After hemming and hawing about the price right before we booked, we decided to just go for it as it seemed like the... More

...but the owner (I presume) never sent me the email to book a tour. I called and spoke to him on a Friday. He said the next tour was on Monday at 7:30 am and to send him an email. He said he would email back a list of recommended places to eat & visit till then. I thought this... More

This was an excellent introduction to the street food of Hoi An. Neville is a larger than life character and really makes the day interesting with his excellent storytelling. It really is better to try and fit this in at the start of your stay in Hoi An because you learn where things are. Unfortunately we could only fit this... More

We had such a great time on Neville's tour, so many delicious food things and so much interesting knowledge to go along with it. Its great being taken around the market and town by locals as well as getting a western perspective from a foodie, and also knowing how much is given back to the locals through this tour. My... Do it! The taste of Hoi An with Neville and Colleen and their team is well worth it. The tour is enlightening about the amazing food on offer. We visited many of the places again before we left so it's better to do it at the start of your trip. The wide range of over 40 tasting of food so... More

We did the tour with Neville on our first morning in Hoi An and it was brilliant. It is a great way to get an introduction to the food and give you confidence to try things for the rest of your trip. The food is amazing - pho, bahn mi, etc and Neville is a great tour guide - very... More

This four hour tour allowed us to eat foods we never would have eaten. Neville gives the expat experience and connects the tour with local guides and explains the stories behind the food. He also was the gift that kept on giving with his restaurant recommendations both in Hoi An and Saigon. As others said, book as early as possible... More
