The food lovers' guide to Hoi An. Our tour is in two parts: firstly we take guests on a walking tour of the markets and streets meeting the local producers and vendors; we then invite guests back to our private air-conditioned dining room in the Ancient Town to taste carefully chosen examples of this food bought directly from the producers - most of whom we see or meet on the tour. The idea behind our tour is simple:in Hoi An there are around 120 restaurants catering to visitors with another 400 or so vendors and eating establishments catering to locals with foods that don't usually appear on visitor menus. This is the food of the local Hoi An people - some call it street food - many with recipes passed down from generation to generation. Our tour gives visitors a safe opportunity to try these foods - we ensure the food is handled hygienically and provide a comfortable venue for the tastings.

We can't rave about this tour enough! Neville & Sen make the perfect tour guides. We loved our guided tour through the markets, back streets & to different street vendors tasting our way through town. Followed by Neville's anecdotes & tales of Vietnamese life over more food in the restaurant. As cautious eaters, the ability to try so many different... More

The tour has been described several times and I do not want to bore you with any more details. What Ido want to get through this review is that Hoi An is the place in Vietnam to discover the vast variety of food, taste and restaurants it has to offer, i believe its upward of 600 restaurants and if you... If you are visiting Hoi An and love food this is not to be missed. Definitely one of the highlights of our time here. So much food and all beautifully prepared and well explained by Sen, Neville and the team (including the many health benefits that the Vietnamese believe the food gives them). We followed many of Neville's recommendations (restaurants,... More

Wonderful experience from Neville and his business associate Sen😊. We experienced some wonderful foods from street vendors and restaurants. Nevilles stories entertained and informed us. This needs to be one of the first attractions you do after arriving in Hoi An as the information is invaluable.

What a great tour this is. Not much else I can write that everyone else has not already. We enjoyed the wide selection of foods, as well as Neville's no frills advice. Even stopped off at a few of his recommended places afterwards - great restaurants!! Got some jewellery at a jeweller he recommended & I am very impressed by... More

Our family of six (kids aged 5-12) spent this morning on this fab tour. It was the second time for myself and my eldest daughter & first time for the rest. Pace was great, food varied and tasty and the commentary and information excellent. The kids were totally included and as a result were engaged and interested. They rate it... More

I could not rate this tour more highly! You know when you meet someone, those very very rare people, that are a true inspiration and make you realise that the world is your Oyster? Well Neville Dean is that person! A very special man, who has found his passion, who's eye's light up with joy as he talks you through... More

We first enjoyed the Last Great Taste of Hoi An in 2012 (http://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/ShowUserReviews-g298082-d2054722-r127987303-The_Last_Great_Taste_of_Hoi_An-Hoi_An_Quang_Nam_Pro.html#REVIEWS), and much has changed since then. The most exciting change is that there is an even greater Vietnamese involvement in the tour - in the form of the local tour master Sen. Sen has a spirited personality and a devilish sense of humour. She will feed you... More

This tour was in 2 parts. It is run by Neville, a very chatty Australian and his business partner Sey (sorry for probable incorrect spelling). Sey took us around the market, showing us various foods and giving us tasters of the street food. This took around 2 hours, she then took us to the Family restaurant on Nguyen Thai Hoc.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this excellent food tour, although initially sceptical as it was fronted by Neville an Australian guy. It was much better than we thought as Neville introduced it andthen handed over to a wonderful local woman Sien for the best range of food Vietnam has to offer from the markets to street food and then to some of...
