We had a great time at this coming class. It was a long day but I had read other reviews so I was prepared for it. We picked stuffed squid and fish cakes for our dishes and they were both great. The class was well prepared and the instructions thoughtful. If I wasn't sure of something van (the teacher) would... More

I have nothing but praise. Van is an excellent teacher, friendly, and a natural when it comes to working with groups. The day began with an informative and productive trip to the market to gather all the perishable ingredients for the many meals we were preparing that day. Then we went to her kitchen where each of us in the... More

Van was an excellent hostess and I can't recommend this enough. The thing that sets this apart from other cookery courses is the fact that you choose what you want to cook (from a long list supplied by Van prior to the class) & Van has an army of helpers to do the washing up and cleaning between each dish,... loved the personal and friendly attitude. cooking and sharing food was great idea rather than cooking and eating own choice. Market shopping fun all in all highly recommended. Van, the teacher a wonderful , friendly and helpful chef.

I would echo all the other positive reviews about Van's cooking classes. She is a wonderful teacher we learnt so much and there was so much wonderful food I could not have eaten another thing. I would highly recommend the class to anyone visiting Hoi An.

This cooking school really delivers with small numbers ( 10 per class) all doing different dishes so you learn to cook more Vietnamese specialities. Van is a skilled tutor with a fantastic memory. She knew our names and dishes we had chosen ( by email up to 4 weeks prior) within 15 minutes of picking us up from our Hotels... More

We had such a great experience with Van at her cooking school. This was bought as a birthday gift, so we hadn't chosen her school, but it was bought based on the reviews of others. We weren't disappointed, as the whole experience was great. We were picked up at the hotel (along with a family and another couple at their... More

We did a Green Bamboo cooking class last week with friends. We had a fabulous day with lots and lots of beautiful food and it was so much fun. We started off by going to the market in Hoi An. Van showed us how to pick out the freshest produce and explained the local ingredients. Then we had a Vietnam... More

I was so glad I took the time to look up the different cooking schools on offer in Hoi An. I'd previously done one in Hanoi (for more $$) but with the familiar standard 4 course format, like many others in Hoi An. The amazing thing about Van's cooking class is that you can select what you want to learn... More

Where to begin?! We had such a great day, from the market to the cooking to the eating! We really enjoyed preparing and cooking our own chosen dishes but also watching the others cook theirs and having it explained, so we felt like we learned to cook 11 Vietnamese dishes in a day. It was a great experience tasting such... More
