Van is an amazing teacher and guide through Hoi An markets. Her cooking methods are simple and allow you to feel comfortable cooking wonderful Vietnamese food! By the end of the day you are so full of amazing food and her little gift pack and hug at the end of the day make you feel like part of her family!

Our last day of our vacation is definitely well spend. We learned how to make our favorite dishes. In a small group we got to learn so much about the market, culture, ingredients and cooking. It was fun and delicious. Van is lovely and a explained everything very well. Thank you! We are looking foreword to try it at home.

I've done a big name cooking school, I've asked my favorite restaurant for a cooking class, but none of them compared with the fun filled fantastic day out at the Green Bamboo Cooking School Cafe with the owner Van. Even if you're not the best school by the end of the day you'll be able to cook even the most... More

Everything was perfectly organised. After everyone has chosen his dish (there are a lot and one is more exotic than the other) which he likes to cook we went straight to the market. Here Van explained us a lot about the vietnamese kitchen, culture around the market and gave details about unique food. She also explained how to distunguish fresh... More

We thoroughly recommend Van's cooking class! The choice of dishes were vast, Van was extremely attentive to each individual, and she made the class fun but informative! The day started off with a trip to the market to pick the ingredients... Next stop was Van's house for the big cook off (we made and sampled 13 dishes!)... The day ended... More

This is worth every great review and so much more! for $40US you get a fantastic day with sooooooo much food. Be sure to book in advance as spaces fill up very fast. The day started off by being picked up from your hotel and then visiting the local market to pick up the produce for the days cooking. When... More

I have been on a couple of cooking courses whilst on holidays and this has to be by far the best! The group is small with a maximum of 12 people. You spend the morning in the markets shopping for the food that you will cook, with explanations from Van. After a quick coffee at the market, it is back... More

My wife and I had a wonderful day with Van and 10 others doing her cooking course. During the first part of the day in the market, buying the ingredients etc, I found it hard to hear as there was a lot of background noise with people shuffling around and past our group. A tip would be to try and... More

If you visit Hoi An, you CANNOT miss a cooking class at Green Bamboo with Van! She is the friendliest, most energetic and lovely teacher. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, she is patient and understanding, very clear with her instructions and just generally awesome! She's also very funny and easy-going, which helps make the experience an enjoyable... More
