My husband and I had a fantastic day at this cooking school. We learnt so much in a fun and friendly atmosphere. We were in a group of 8 other lovely people and Van was the perfect host/teacher. There is soooo much food for the tiny price you pay. The 7 hours flew by in a heart beat as we... More

Very personal and wonderful attention to each person. Class was one the best things we did in Vietnam. 11 people in class, which meant we ate 11 dishes! Such good food to choose from and beers to drink while you cook. Loved this class.

We really enjoyed Van's cookery class. Although we each cooked one dish, I learned a lot more by watching the other guests prepare and cook their dishes. A thoroughly enjoyable day from start to finish but - as others have advised - do try and pace yourself as there is an awful lot of eating involved! All good fun and... More

We had a great day with Van at her Vietnamese cooking school. Learnt so much and ate so much! Very authentic experience starting at the market and ending many hours later. Terrific. Highly recommended.

If you want to learn more than 1 dish look elsewhere. Even the class is for 10 participants and there is a chance to learn more you will learn 1 dish only! PROs: buying the ingredients at the local market, nice kitchen, good English CONs: Mrs. Van just whispers and didn't change it even after a few request for speaking... More

I had an excellent day with Van, her 11 cooking students and 3 aids ( who did all the washing up in a flash). Van greeted us with exuberance, and took us on a great Market tour. I'd already done a cooking class in Vietnam, but Van's was in a unique league. I don't know how she made it so... More

We booked this course based on the reviews on TA and were not disappointed. My boyfriend was not overly keen to do a cooking class, especially for $35 USD charged, but was happy to eat his words by the end of the day. We both had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. The experience of going to the market... More

For the first few days in Hoi An, I was under the impression that Hoi An translated into English as cooking school. There was not a business remotely connected with food that didn't also offer cooking classes. Whole day, Half day, Half hour, go to market, stay home, buy the video;etc.,etc. Luckily research brought us to Van's "Green Bamboo Cooking... More

From the time we were picked up from our hotel Van, our hostess and teacher looked after us really well. We loved getting to know our fellow cooks and shopping at the local market for all our ingredients was fascinating. Van was really generous with her time and juggled all our questions so well. Her home with its lovely big... More
