This is simply a wonderful day out where you learn so much about Vietnamese food and also get to test your culinary skills. Van is a patient and wise teacher and welcomes you into her beautiful home where you get to prep and cook your chosen dish with nine others. The market tour before hand is interesting as you walk around... Resting by the pool now after a full on day at the Green Bamboo Cooking School. Van is the host and she is a delight with a gorgeous smile that lights up the room. 10 lovely people in the group and a foray around the markets to buy our produce after we have each selected a dish to cook from... This is such a well organized, stress free and fun-for-all day of culinary experiences, I had to do it a second time. Can't say enough about it. It's great for anyone, regardless your level of experience or depth of your interest in cooking. For people who have trouble boiling water, you could sit back and help a little and eat... More

Definitely one of the best experience one can have amongst the several places in Vietnam. The best part of the deal are highlighted - Shopping in old market and trying the local delicacies - Van has fully equipped kitchen with the right tools and very spacious and comfortable - Experiencing the variety of dishes was an experience and learning on... Had a fantastic experience with the lovely Van. First of all, this is not one of those cooking classes where you just observe and take notes - you really do get to prep and cook the dishes, we left with lots of handy tips! I went with my mother and husband and were in a group of ten. We were... More

8 friends and I went to green bamboo last night and it was unanimously one of the best nights of our trip. Food was amazing, Van was both endlessly entertaining and a great teacher and the atmosphere feels like a party (esp if you bring alcohol on the side). Overall highly highly recommend. Additionally, if needed, Van can accommodate Kosher... More

Van is a wonderful teacher of Vietnamese cooking. First we could choose what dishes we wanted to learn to cook from a list of 64 ! Then we shopped in the market before going to her home . 10 wonderful dishes later we were not only very proud of our dishes but very full. From 8 am to 3pm what... More

Not much to say about this that hasn't already been said, just a very smooth, top notch operation. I will say it's also a great place to meet some new people. Thanks Van, we had a lot of fun.

All meals prepared by the group were very tasty. We had 11 in the group so we did not need anything else to eat for the day. Good to come away with the recipe book, to try them at home. Fun for all ages!

This cooking class is different than the others, it is more 'hard core', it actually deserves the name 'cooking class'. This is more for foodies and hobby chefs, but even my 9 year old had a lot of fun (which also means you do not have to have prior experience, you get as much or as little help you want... More
