We started the day in the market where Van navigated us through, explaining all the ingredients and letting us touch, taste and smell them. After a quick coffee break, we went back to to cooking school based in Vans home. Van is patient, explains everything in detail and is always at our side when cooking. We cooked 10 dishes and... Learning to cook has never been so great! Starting with a trip to the local food markets, to learn about the different types of food and a bit about the Vietnamese culture before heading back to Van's home to cook up a feast. An experience not to miss in Vietnam if you're a food lover! Highly recommend!!

Best cooking class I have ever done! Each participant selected one recipe at start of day from a list of about 60 Vietnamese classics. We then went to local market to select ingredients/have coffee. Once back at the school we cooked the dish we had selected but in a way that everyone got to learn it so rather than learn... More

There's a reason why this is the number one experience in Hoi An - Van is absolutely lovely and runs her class in a way that is instructive yet still relaxed and fun. We learnt a lot, ate like kings and rate this as not only one of the best things we did in Hoi An but Vietnam overall! Thank... More

Green Bamboo Cooking School, run by the lovely and charming Miss Van, is well worth the extra expense. She will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the local produce, meat and fish markets. She is well known by the vendors and shares details and insights that make the shopping, cooking and eating experience very rich and... More

If you love Viet food but you are lazy, take a food tour. If not, take Van's class. I wanted to learn Viet gravies and stocks and I got all that. Her unique teaching format is well-described by other rviewers. Under her guidance, a class of 10 amateurs turned out some of the best food I have tasted in 5... More

This restaurant was doing really great takeaways and is definitely worth a try. Other guests at our hotel were raving about the size of the portions, and their quality

The reviews are all true. I've been to cooking school in Thailand before but this was amazing. Make sure you do not go a too full a stomach. You have 12 courses to taste and will not need to eat in the evening! Van is a great teacher, very patient and I went away with lots of knowledge that I... More

Agree with all other reviews. Class is super fun, well organized, and tasty! We each made a dish and shared, so 12 dishes later everyone was stuffed! Thanks Van! -Rachel and Jake

We are Singaporeans and our first time at Hoi An, trying a local cooking class. I attended the session with my husband and three children aged 10, 8 and 4. Ms. Van is extremely patient with all of us including another Australian tourist who joined us. And the best part was, every dish tasted delectable and she was generous with... More
