A great mix of culture, food and fun! The whole day was superb, from the trip to the fresh food market, the boat ride to the island, seeing the traditional method of separating the husk from the rice grain to rolling fresh spring rolls, tossing sizzling vietnamese crepes and preparing a fresh beef salad. A wonderful experience whether you enjoy... More

We had a lovely half day tour with our guide Hue and the Thuan Tinh Island Cooking School team of chefs. First stop was the local market where we moved to each stall purchasing what we needed for our recipes. Next stop a boat ride to Thuan Tinh Island which was a lovely element that differientiated this tour from the... More

We booked the An Bang Beach Cooking Class at late notice for a group of 16 people and the staff at the Cooking School could not have been more accommodating, welcoming or friendly. Every dish we cooked was demonstrated before hand with lots of information and detail so we could then cook it ourselves and every dish tasted delicious -... More

We booked this tour on the recommendation of our hotel. We were promptly collected at 8:30 and proceeded to collect other guests. We arrived at the market to buy the ingredients for the dishes. The market shopping was a substandard experience. We did not get introduced to the lady we later learned was Ms Singh. She rushed in and out... More

We decided to book this cooking tour at the last minute and the event was exceptional. There are many cooking classes in Hoi An, but this one was unique with a trip to the market, a boat ride to Thuan Tinh, making rice milk and cooking a four course meal outdoors. We made traditional rice paper spring rolls, Vietnamese pancakes,... More

We enjoyed this tour which lasted around six hours. We were picked up from our hotel, met the others in the group -including four children of six to ten, shopped in the market for required ingredients then enjoyed a pleasant boat ride to the island. Transferred to small boats and went through waterways of water coconut to a village house... More

Totally enjoyed this day of going to a farm and chewing beetle juice making rice milk. Our English speaking guide was very knowledgable and translating our calm and creative Chefs instructions. The set up was awesome we went by boat to Thuan Tinh island . Passionfruit juice constantly being refilled and the mis en place for the cooking school was... More

Our guide Tua was just great. We shopped at the markets where she showed us the freshest produce. You need to overlook the surrounds of the abandoned resort which houses the school as everything else is great. The staff are so friendly and plentiful to assist you prepare enough food to keep you very full. You cook a dish, eat... More

We booked the cooking class through our hotel, there are hundreds to choose from in Hoi An, but this one is different . It's on an island down the river, so not only do you get a market tour and cooking lessons, you get a boat trip thrown in. Our Guide Hue was really good, punctual and spoke very good... More

My friend and I did the longer cooking course and we felt very well looked after all day. We were picked up from our hotel and taken around the market in Hoi An where the different foods were shown and explained to us. Then we went to a small farm to collect the herbs and salad veg, before going on... More
