We booked our class on the same day and ended up arriving at the pick up location about 15mins late and the lady waited which was nice. The class was taken by Vina who sung most of the time which got a little irritating. I felt that the class was a little rushed and they were a little stingy on... More

Wow! If you are looking for a cooking class in Vietnam, look no further than Gioan! After reading trip advisor reviews of Gioan, I felt that this would be a good choice for my adult daughter and me, both foodies...Far beyond expectations!! From the market experience to the preparations of the dishes we selected ( we added the Vietnam Pancake,... More

We had such a great time this morning! At first, we went to a local market with Oh. I could ask everything I wanted, a lot of different products and herbs. Then we came back at the house and we met Hanh, the very good cook. Everything is well organised and we had a liflet of the recipies we will... More

Two of us did this course in the morning and included the market visit which I found very interesting. Our teacher, Vina, explained the different spices, fruits, vegetables, meat and fish in detail. She also showed us how to ensure what we were buying was fresh. We chose 5 dishes to prepare and it was very hands on. I have... More

We had a great time at our class with Vina, she was bright and bubbly and we had such an enjoyable time learning from her. The food was extremely nice and it was great to know we did it ourselves (kind of). Thank you Vina it was a great night :)

We learned to cook some Vietnamese food at Gioan cooking school. We were first taken to the market by Ho, who was very nice and friendly. He showed us a lot of herbs and spices and in general was very helpful in answering our questions of flavour, smell and combination of the different Vietnamese spices. We went back to the... More

We have enjoyed Vietnamese food so much that we decided a cooking class was something we must do. There are many on offer so we looked on Trip Advisor and decided this class offered it all. We visited the riverside market to shop with Hana who spoke good English and really knows her stuff. We then returned for our class... More

Did a class here recently with Vina as one of three Intrepid travellers. Not only was it totally entertaining, we laughed, danced, drank, sang and laughed even more till the tears ran down our faces. Then there was the cooking, we prepped everything ourselves under Vina's watchful eye, cooked and ate a fabulous feast. Since I've returned home I've made... More

We took a cooking class in the afternoon, first we went to the market to buy some fresh ingredients and then we walked back to the cooking location. We started at 15.30hrs and finished round 18.00 hrs. The cooking class takes place in a typical house in the old town of Hoi an, with a view of the river. Our... More
