First we started at the local market, which was great, because it gave exposure to some fruits and seafood that I had not been exposed to before. Then we walked to the cooking class. The lady was very informative and had very quirky ways of remember things and how to cook particular recipes. The recipe book we recieved was a... More

Gioan Cooking class was such a fun and interesting experience. I enjoyed learning, cooking and eating traditional Vietnamese meals. The ingredients we used are easy find at home in Melbourne, which is very helpful in remaking the meals for friends and family.

The trip to the markets was great and we have learnt so much that we can take home with us. Was great that we could choose from a big list of options... More

Our cooking class was re-sceduled to a later time so that our meal would line up better with lunch time. We went to the market with Ho and he picked up some ingredients for our meal, that we would be cooking. Vina was our chef and she did a great job providing an entertaining lesson on cooking some vietnamese dishes.... More

We booked online the night before and modified Menu 1, and got an immediate response. When we arrived we were cheerfully greeted by Vina, and brought to the markets by Ho (I think) who was also very friendly and he was able to tell us about the herbs and food we would be using, he was funny and engaging and... The market visit, the singing while cooking and the great explanations all made for a lovely afternoon. I left full, happy, and excited to have a few new recipes... More
