We passed by some cooking class in Hoi An, and the one who caught our attention is Gioan. I like the open kitchen concept and the teacher, V-Na is so funny! We learnt to cook Pho, Fried Wonton and Fresh Springrolls. The learning experience is awesome, and a bonus is that, we think we really can cook Vietnamese cuisine cause... More

Just amazing. Had a private class with just the four of us. The teacher was a really funny and lovely lady! We made springrolls, pho with beef, sweat and sour prawns/chicken and fish in banana leaf. It was all so nice. Thank you.

I went to Gioan cooking class with my mother to learn how to make fried, and steamed spring rolls, chicken lemongrass and chili, and pork in claypot. We got picked up by the hotel. Vina, who is a really funny and happy woman, walked us through the recipes with good advice for how to make the dishes in Denmark too.... More

I went with my Good friends from London on our tour around Vietnam and this was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. We all had such an amazing time not only learning how to cook the amazing dishes but the atmosphere was very laid back and relaxed. This in turn made the experience a whole lot more enjoyable.... We were reccomended Gioan cooking class by friends, and I can agree it is a must do activity for any stay in Hoi An! Being on a tight budget, we opted for the 2 hour cooking class. This proved to be excellent value for our money as we were able to make 3 dishes of choice. The cooking class was... More

We chose Gioan's cooking class because, for a cheap price, we could get a private 3 hour cooking class and tour of the market. We also got to choose 4 dishes to cook, which differs from other places where you're made to cook a set menu that you may not necessarily like as much. Vina, our teacher for the day,... More

We chose Gioan because there were many day/time options, you can do a private class and choose your own menu. There were 5 of us. We made beef pho, Vietnamese pancake, wontons & chili & lemongrass chicken. All 4 meals were simple enough to recreate back home. The ingredients are also able to be sourced back home. You don't actually... More

My daughter and I booked a two hour cooking lesson with Hanh, one of the attractions being that she was completely flexible with timing and the kind of dishes you wanted to learn to make. You can do it with others or choose to keep it to a private lesson. Hanh was fun, interesting and a great teacher. The cooking... More

This is a fantastic way to spend a few hours at Hoi An. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting the markets. The team were super friendly and made the cooking class easy and fun to do. Plus the food once it was cooked was just scrumptious. Can't wait to try cooking them again back home. Definitely a highlight in our trip.
