8 of us friends all attended the cookery class together. We had the ever entertaining Hahn who started off with a trip to the market to purchase some of the ingredients we would be using. Very informative!! We made a total of 4 dishes including Vietnamese Pho that is much easier to make than we all thought. It's obvious that... More

We had Vena and she was great. We chose to do the three dish lesson and chose the following dishes:Shrimp fried spring rolls, beef curry and chicken Pho. The tuition was excellent and went as fast or slow as required. Great fun experience and some good lessons to take home and recreate in our own kitchen. Highly recommended for your... More

.... pity the teacher treats adult pupils like little kids. Our instructor was a lady called Hahn, delightful and with good English, but oh dear! Just too silly for words! EVERYthing had to be accompanied by singing (such as Abba songs!). Really just too annoying for words. (Maybe kids - and simple folk - find that amusing, but I certainly... More

My teacher was Ms Hanh and she is very funny. I chose this school because it offers flexible menu (my mother is a vegetarian) and flexible time slot which fits our schedule. The only thing I don't like is the staff who showed us around the market kept asking us to buy souvenirs in the market which is much more... More

I highly recommend this cookery school. I went in April 2015 with a friend and we paid 550,000 dong for a two hour lesson where you made three dishes. Hahn, our instructor, really mad this class fantastic. Her English I'm incredible so there is no problem understanding, and she has been teaching classes there for over ten years. All classes... So, we did our cooking trip on the suggestion of our trip guide. It was one of the best recommendations he made! Our 'teacher' was hilarious, full of character and made everyone in the class feel welcome. She ran the class with lots of humour and at a good pace too. Definitely worth going!

We booked this class after reading the reviews on trip advisor. I assumed we would be part of a group but it even appeared to be a private lessons. After our herbs hopping at the local marketplace, we started cooking the dishes of our choice. She advised us to come hungry so we did! Vina is a very sweet and... More

We walked in to Gioan cooking school and scheduled a class for the same day. You can pick whatever items from the menu you want to learn to cook. We really loved the market tour; we had walked around the market before and it was great to be able to ask questions about the items we had been curious about... More

Fantastic and entertaining cooking class with the delightful Miss Vina! This girl has style and knows her stuff! We first chose the four dishes that we wanted to learn to cook, toured the markets to buy and try some fresh produce - all with comedic dialogue (and a few songs) from Vina. Although the class is short (2 1/2 hours... More

We booked a cooking class & market tour last week and absolutely loved every minute of it. We learned so many new things and the food was so delicious! It was great to just have the two of us, so we didn't have to spend an entire day cooking with a huge group. We did the market and made 4... More
