So we decided to book up a day at Tra Que, we decided on 3 in 1 package. On the day Nyan met us at out hotel bright and early and we waiting for a delivery on bikes (which arrived on a moped of course). We cycled from the Hotel to the Market and we were introduced to various fruits... More

Tendered and cared for the herbs are a precious food resource and a must in all of their cooking. Each row is watered about 5 times a day by hand and each plot is meticulously cared for. Cycle past and take a look.

We did the cooking class tour. We were met at 8am, and rode push bikes with our guide through the local villages to Tra Que Herb Village. It was a great bike ride, very picturesque and interesting. Our guide Tu was not only a great guide but a great chef... He taught the art of food decorations, making spring rolls,... More

I was there with a group of 10 of us. Everyone loved the tour of the garden, and a few of us had fun planting/watering. We had a simple lunch there, which was very good.

We had a great morning here and loved all the activities we did. Arrived early and did a small planting in the garden under expert supervision. Soooo much fun. The a cooking demonstration and really brought smiles to us.

Really interesting tour. So many herbs grown in the one area with traditional farming and gardening practices still being used today. Herbs are hand watered with huge watering cans carried by the farmers, weed (like seaweed) is sourced from the waterways and used as fertiliser, herbs are hand picked between 3.30 - 4am and taken to the market, medicinal qualities... A little outside Hoi An's old town, you can easily ride a bicycle to Tra Que Village (3km max). I am posting this review because a lot of the reviews of Tra Que are actually for cooking schools. I think this is a bit misleading because you don't have to do a cooking class to visit Tra Que. Go by... More

My friend and I were taken to Tra Que herb village as part of our cooking class with the effervescent Chef Danny from the Little HoiAn Boutique Hotel. He and his extended family live and work here and we received a very warm welcome from them. The visit was only for 1 hour but this was sufficient to have a... More

We booked this tour on a whim, having spent the past week in the city we decided we needed a bit of rural charm, and boy did it deliver! The day starts with a shopping trip through the food markets in Hoi An, where you learn about all those weird and wonderful delights all but the brave walk past with... More
