When we first jumped on the boat and it took off, I thought we were never going to get there. The boat is old and slow but was quite enjoyable if you were sitting downstairs away from the hot sun. When we go to the first snorkelling spot, the boat owner (an italian man) asked if there was anyone who... More

A poor day of snorkeling for us. It seemed tour was aimed at scuba diving, rather than snorkeling. Not much to see in limited snorkeling areas. Jelly fish too. Was professionally run with nice operators.

Cham island is a marine park since 2003, underwater world is composed with a great variety of beautiful soft corals in very good conditions; Even if you don't see big pelagic marine life is very well represented with all kinds of coral fish and, not only for divers , barracudas, groupers, snappers. In our website homepage you can have a... More

My experience was not bad but I saw crazy things in that diving center. They took some people who did not know how to swim and were not able to go back to the boat at the end of the dive. My friend David who was doing his first lived a painful experience. Because he was going down to slowly,... More

Overall lovely day out. We were happy to have chosen this trip with the lovely old boat, there are seemingly hundreds of the new jet boats crammed full of tourists that sped into bays ( probably destroying visibility underwater at the same time) dump passengers off, cram them back in and off they went again. This trip was not like... More

We did the snorkel day trip with Cham Island Diving. From the pick up/drop off through to the boat trip over, snorkelling and lunch, this was a well organised and professional operation so much so we sat back, relaxed and enjoyed the whole day without a care in the world. The water visibility was far better here than the snorkelling... More

We all had a good day out, which could have been great if it were not for a few niggling points. Good things first: the snorkelling was good fun. We've never been to Thailand / the Great Barrier Reef / Malaysia so for us it was nice to swim around and enjoy the coral and the fish. The first spot... More

Trip includes pick up from the hotel, boat trip to two different snorkeling spots (a lot of underwater life to explore, but also some jellyfish). Excellent lunch at a beautiful beach with hammocks to relax and time to go swimming. Trip to the islands is about 1h15min which is quite long but worth it.

Friendly staff. Really helpfull when its your first time diving or snorkling. When you book the tour they will tell you not to bring foods and drinks, because its all included on board. But I think it's better to bring your own, because there were only bananas, cupcakes and cold or hot water. In the afternoon there is a really... More

We had a good couple of dives, though we did experience the dive boat people trying to get people into the water before anyone managed to do a buddy check. What was poor was that months ago we asked them to book Homestay Bai on Cham Island (see tripadvisor entry) but were reallocated to Homestay Lulli in the main village... More

Hi, and thanks for your comment, and here our answers buddy check: as usual there are divers who wants to do the buddy check on the platform: plenty time to do the buddy check before going on the platform, we ask always to do it before going on it. . moreover our staff on board when they set up the... It's a fun full day out on the boat, and although we snorkelled, we definitely felt we saw a lot even from the surface. Pick up and drop off by Cham Island Divers was fine, but the boat was fairly full so wasn't very personable in terms of speaking to the guides/instructors. We had to pay extra for soft drinks...
