We came across the beautiful desert on our journey to another city. Due to time restraint we werent able to do Desert Safari. However, the kids had so much fun just running up and the down the desert. Since we visited in January of this year, the desert was just the right temperature. The sand was so beautiful to the... Great place to take the kids. Has lots of animals - of all types actually. Kids love it. It closes early around 6 pm. After sunset it would be hard to see the wild animals beyond the glass. Birds, rodents, wolves, snakes, Tigers etc it's all there. Place is well maintained. Kids under 18 are free and adults is for... More

This museum is great in that it shows the visitor why the UAE and Sharjah is where it is now, why it has oil, where it was millions of years ago and where its going as the tectonic plates move across the world. There are numerous fosils, and rocks that give a graphic and a 'hands on' idea of how and... We have been in living in Dubai for 8 years and came to know of this place now, it's a place worth going with children. About an hours drive 40-50 Kms from Dubai but worth a visit, take note of the timings from there website, they open on 11 on sat and around noon on Friday other days not sure.... More

Very nicely presented. Great place to educate the kids. Can spend more than 1 hour in it, and will create a lot of questions by your kiddies

I went there on a school trip with my students and was disappointed at the emptiness in terms of guidance. Find your own information and prepare a talk for your students if you go there.

I've visited the Natural History Museum twice and found both visits to be decent. The Natural History Museum is located next to the Arabian Wildlife Center and the entrance fee (If I remember correctly, is 15 AED) includes both places. The museum has been quiet both times that I have visited. I've only seen a couple other people there. The... More

Wild Animals are kept in open and visitors are in AC. Very Good place visit in summer. Kids can feed the animals. The of course is the wildlife centre. This part is my favourite, as there is a large enclosed aviary inside. It is extremly interesting to see how rich is the desert zoo.The zoo shows lizards, frogs, foxes, birds,... More
