We visited this museum during a tour of Sharjah. We found it fascinating, particularly the exhibit on Islamic science. The museum is located in a beautiful building.

Very good museum. Quite interesting. Beautiful building from outside as well as inside. Even if you are not interested in history, you can't get bore. Photography is allowed.

A perfect counterpoint to the "local tribe" heritage information elsewhere, this is a full-scale beautiful compendium of regional decorative arts. Tiles, armour, textiles, metalware, woodwork -- this rivals the V&A in London for excellent objects in superb displays. Tranquil, beautiful, and a pleasure. Vast collection of objects and models with explanations also in English. It's easy to spend at least half a day here, if not a whole day. There is a gift shop and restaurant on the premises. The museum is housed in a former souk and very tastefuly repurposed.

Whenever you are in Sharjah, find some time and visit this museum! Firs of all it is a beautiful construction and interior. And second and more important, it is very educational. You will find a lot of many interesting information in one place. The exhibition rooms themselves and the accesses into them are very interestingly allocated and designed. Very good... More
