New bunkers provide an enhanced challenge, Relatively narrow fairways and plenty of mangrove to catch wayward balls.
The course is well maintained and challenging. There's enough water holes for you to loose enough balls in. The fairways aren't that forgiving and it has a few will placed bunkers especially for those who hits a long ball. Buggies can do with a upgrade but is working fine. The greens isn't the best but the ball sit nice with... More
Quite a good challenge for golfers, but club house facilities are not in the Dubai league, but then again, neither are the prices. Would go again especially as they accept Entertainer vouchers on the weekend.
Hardly anybody playing during the day, didn't have to take a buggy and apart from the greens being a bit dodgy (work being done) it was brilliant.
Played here a couple of times in the last few months (once in Nov '13 and once in Jan '14). Whilst the condition of the course, quality of buggies, and 'moderness' of clubhouse facilities is not in the same category as most courses in Dubai and Abu Dhabi it is still very good when you consider what you are paying.... Had a group visit here in November 2013, was advised that they had a problem with the greens. But I must say we were "very well looked after" on and off the course by Simon Payne(Golf Director). The service that we received on the driving range with iced towel and cold drinks was very welcomed by the group. The weather... More
We played here in November 2013. The course was fantastic and although as someone else stated the greens were not up to scratch, it was still highly enjoyable and challenging and the rest of the course was superb. They were on the course repairing it so have no doubt it will be back to top condition in no time. The... More
Played here many times before, loved it as usual, but the greens (30th nov 13) were terrible this time, surely they didn't need to do them all at once? Anyway, I would still go back. Really enjoy the course
We travelled over 100 km to this course, were staying overnight at the Al Hamra Beach resort and had been hoping to play there but there was a competition on so came here instead. The course was very nice but unfortunately the greens had all been extensively repaired and some looked like a patchwork quilt so could only give it... More
With regard to the restaurant. The food is OK if a little expensive, the bar is well stocked but with smoking allowed indoors (as it invariably is here!) the place gets very smelly. Better to visit in the winter when you can sit on the terrace. The course itself is OK but like so much golf in the Gulf it's... More
