We were staying in Dubai and took a car to drive around the emirate; we stopped for a few hours in Al Ain and visited it museums and the oasis. It is good to see it, but it is not an exceptional stop.

It was ok but nothing much to see, not what I was expecting. If you want to get out of the sun, it's a nice enough walk

This was my second time visiting and for a desert region it is special to see anything green, but I didn't find it necessarily beautiful. The environmental effort to turn desert into an oasis is admirable for the people to enjoy and feel of real green grass under your feet.. The thermal water was different but again not so different.... More

There's not much to see just date trees etc. Very quiet and pleasant. Enjoyed the cool temperatures.

I am sure they are more exciting places to look at somebody climbing up a tree and testing some sweet dates.

a nice walk, but not much else to see. if you are there for a day. it is not worth it as there are many other things to do. it was a nice day and sun was shining (that was the only nice thing).

This is a much bigger area than you would imagine, some 1200 hectares of date palm, apparently some 147,000. as well as bananas, figs and even mangos This is a centuries old "plantation" or rather a collection of small plots hugging the water hole and given over to extensive date palms. These are interlinked by an equally old drainage system... More

You can watch workers cut the Dates from the tree, and try the fruits. Plenty of places to sit in the shade away from the noise of the city. Lots of paths to walk along, although very few signs to lead you to the other side, but added to the adventure.

If you love peace and greenery, Al Ain Oasis is the ultimate place to spend hours. Mild temperature even in summers, fragrance of fresh dates and leaves, mild sunlight penetrating from leaves of clusters of date trees, water canals, silence and singing of birds. These are the main features of this hidden gem. The oasis might be difficult to reach... More

The Oasis, next to the Al Ain National Museum, is a nice, pleasant, and cool place to walk through, especially in the middle of the day. I'd recommend not straying from the main path too much, as although the oasis is not too big, it's not hard to get lost!
