Huge zoo but get there early or get there in the winter time. The animals are very up close and they have great spaces. It's really a great zoo and inexpensive to get in compared to other cities.

The information boards were good and informative, the shops well stocked with a variety of goods and there were plenty of refreshment areas. The only thing which I found absolutely intolerable were the other visitors.... More

I worked on the construction of the Sheikh Zayed Learning Centre next door and decided to visit the zoo one Friday on my day off. I was very impressed with the setup, lots to see, not too commercialised, has the feel of a modern zoo centred around breeding programmes with an emphasis on the environment and sustainability rather than just... A good complement of animals. Children expressed excitement in being taken to close proximity of elephants and given the opportunity to feed them with bananas.
