Halushki/Galushki dumplings are unique to Poltava. This place is at the Southern end of October / Zhovtneva Street, beyond the church. It is traditional that you must be photographed here - as the only proof that you visited Poltava !

This is a huge sculpture that features a spoon in which you can sit for a photo as if you are in a bowl of a favorite traditional dish. It is along the way to an overlook of the entire town.

Not much too say, not much to see, Good for a photo opportunity, next to the White Arbour, 10 minutes and you've seen it. It is an outdoor piece of sculpture and it's free.

If you haven’t tried Poltava Dumplings (Galushki) – you haven’t been to Poltava! It’s something special, very tasty and you cannot try it anywhere else in Ukraine. But for memories jump into the spoon and make a picture at the monument. The spoon is so comfortable! I was ready to stay in it longer but had to move because of... More

The monument is connected right next to the White Arbor. It is kind of funny idea of symbolic monument to the most famous dish of local cuisine. However, it looks poorly designed and is located now next to the construction site.

This monument to a traditional Ukrainian food – Galushka [kind of dumplings that Poltava is especially famous for] – must be one of the most controversial in the city. It was officially opened on April 1 (2006), known as April Fool Day, and has initially been established on Soborna (Cathedral) Square, close to the recently restored Assumption Cathedral. Its opening... More
