Marmaris is surrounded by beautiful mountains, Which was a nice surprise the first time I walked out of the streets and stepped out on the seafront. It sort of knocked me back. They are gorgeous, not big ones, but nice tree covered green mountains. Very nice.

Stunning views of the mountains around Marmaris. Take a boat trip during the day to really appreciate the scenery!

We drove up into the mountains on a deserted twisty road. The views all the way up are fantastic! The road we used is the first right turn as you head out of Marmaris on the road back to Dalaman. The new dual carriageway climbs up out of the town and the mountain road is at the top of the... More

From the boardwalk we went inland and then left on the main road. Where the footpath ran out we turned right up a mountain road - unsealed- and walked up and up. We got to a five way intersection with various paths leading up various mountains, so of course my husband chose the steepest. I was crawling on my hands... More
