Father of the Turks

Not to impressive in its own but a very significant monument for Turkish culture that is worth to pass by.

This statue is on the promenade of Marmaris with the flags around it. It makes a nice photograph with the sea and boats in the background. Personally I don't consider it to be very exciting but having said that it's nice to see a bit of culture when your out walking. It is in a lovely area to stroll with... More

This place is good for a walk at night. It's a big square on the marina. Lots of tourists and taking pictures. Nice place to visit.

I was not sure what to expect here as it was 'bigged' up by the tour rep. It was just a statue in the town with flags around it. Situation was great as it was by the port in the start of the town

This great statue of Kemal Ataturk is located in the end of the beach promenade when you arrive to the center of Marmaris. Adorned with Turkish flags and with the city spinning around it, it is obvious that Kemal Ataturk was a key figure in modern Turkish history. Families gather around the be photographed around the statue and you will... More
