For 8 lira each, this was one of the nicest museums ive been to. Time is needed to appreciate everything inside, and the views over the marina and town are breathtaking.

Difficult to find, located at the Marmaris Marina, tiny signs in courtyards and streets pointing the way. Don't give up (it's not that difficult really). Beware the old lady flogging stuff near the entrance - she is sweet but persistent (previously mentioned by another reviewer, she was still there in June 2015). Anyway, the museum is very good, lots of... More

Paid 8tl each to walk around the castle grounds which in all fairness can be done in 15 minutes, not a lot to see within the castle except the pre roman artifacts room with air conditioning which was a god send and the highlight of the visit, panoramic views from the walls were great. no bags and only water allowed... Nice castle with a museum and great view from the top of the castle over the Marina and the beach. Castle is small and can be visited in 1-2 hours of time only.

A small castle situated on the hill. Do not take young children as nothing can be touched as we touched the glass to block the reflection of the light and got told off. A lovely selection of historical artefacts.

If you want to see beautiful views over Marmaris port from the castle walls, the old town and the sea bay near Marmaris, I would totally recommend to visit this small fort! There a small garden and a few rooms with exhibition (some of them even equipped with A/C), I liked the one showing jewelery :-) But the most attractive... More

its well worth finding. Although signed it is easy enough to miss the signs past the massive one as you enter towards the harbour. Worth the very cheap price. It's open till 7 so you don't need to risk the mid day heat. Lots of information and lovely views.

We decided to take a wee look in here whilst exploring and were really glad we did. (Very reasonable entry price) It was very insightful into the history of the country and local area and all backed up with a lot of old artifacts. The grounds were really well kept and a cracking place to take a few family snaps,... More
