Its quite small & not what I expected to be. Nice views & got some good pictures but Ithink needs more exhibits, a little boring

the castle should have been better laid out than it was. The exhibits were rather random and uninspiring. they could have made much more of the place by creating a timeline and explaining life at the castle

Really interesting and picturesque castle - nice and cool, with amazing views from the ramparts including the bay , the marina and the old town. The museum part is okay - but the place is worth visiting as a hill-top castle. There is no cafe, but there are toilets.

Marmaris castle can be found through some narrow streets of the old town. It looks as if it's quite an uphill climb but it's not that bad or that far. Beware the little old lady, with a vice-like grip who waits for you to pass and grabs your hand until you bye something from her. At only 8TL (£2) entry... More

Not very big museum, but nice for an hour or so. Stunning views across the marina and harbour across to Icmeler. Most attractive narrow cobbled alleylike streets surround the approach to the castle. Very quaint. Worth a visit to see a little of the history of Turkey/Marmaris and to take in the views from the rampart walk.

This is located centrally to the waterfront maybe 2 blocks in. Lovely small fortress now museum with artifacts and great views of the water and boats. Fun 45 minute self-tour.

While Marmaris itself is nothing to write home about with it's bustling bazaar selling genuine fakes, the castle and surrounding few streets are a haven of relative peace and tranquility. Built in the mid-16th century, the castle has been extensively restored since it took a pounding from the French navy in the 1st World War. There are themed rooms stuffed... More
