I have lived in Calis, close to Fethiye and no matter how many times I go back to visit, I never tire of wandering round the shops, eating at some of the lovely restaurants, sitting sipping a pomegranate juice by the harbour and just people watching or watching the boats come & go. Venture into the back streets, where all... More

Fethiye is an elegant town. It is a destination for many Turkish families in addition to foreign visitors. "Local" presence is always a good sign of quality. Plenty of cafe's on the Marina, nice pubs in the old market, good shopping opportunities.Try the Hammam (Turkish bath) - rejuvenating! Consider taking a one day boat trip to explore the amazing bays... More

I booked my blue cruise from Fethiye via BusAbout, but it was the same tour run by V-Go. I was impressed at the boat's amenities, the food (SO GOOD) and the staff. When we reached very rough water, the captain made the decision to go to the closest port and have us taken back to Fethiye by minibus. Some people... More

My boyfriend and I booked through Carole and Tayfun. As well as being a lot cheaper than the same trip booked through our Thomson rep, the trip was great fun and there were plenty of swimming stops, lunch was tasty and there was room to sunbathe. You can buy drinks and ice creams on board. Although they are not cheap,... More

loads of shops all around the market. You need ot visit the market itself for fresh fruit / veg and of course the now famous fish market.

Also you'll find lots of cafe restaurants where you can take a drink or a maybe some food.Loads of different choices here. Many places have... More

We found the downtown area to be really nice with varied shopping including leather and jewelery. The restaurants and bars were prolific and the people friendly and most spoke fairly good english as this is a popular area for British tourists.

Had some beautiful meals in the old town market, watching the world go past. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiters.

Nice walk along the prom. Big Tuesday market, mostly for tourisits but look for the produce stalls, particularly the sellers with a few items along the riverside. Gold factory (ie a jeweller) is chore one has to endure - suggest you just stay out in the sunshine unless you've already arranged a mortgage.
