Stunning and picturesque!

Parking was 15YTL - about 3.75GBP - and at least the car was able to be left in the shade. The place was packed with mainly Turkish people which proves that it is a lovely... read more

This is a popular stop on the Blue Cruise circuit and can be crowded at sunset. There are ruins on the island that can be explored and the views from up high are spectacular. Bring a bottle of wine or cold beers to enjoy while you watch the sunset.

Parking was 15YTL - about 3.75GBP - and at least the car was able to be left in the shade. The place was packed with mainly Turkish people which proves that it is a lovely retreat to discover. You will need to get there by car - the walk would be unforgiving. There are shady areas as well as those... More

This quiet little island has the most amazing views. We drove up to the bay and within a few minutes was across the bay on a small speed boat. The round trip boat trip was 40TL for the three of us. We just called the pilot for the trip back. I think you can also just ask someone at the... More

This is a beautiful spot, we went last month and were charged 10 lira to enter, we made the mistake of sitting down for a drink without first asking the price and were ripped off terribly by the cafe owners there. We went again today determined not to fall for the same con again only to find that they have... More

Gemiler is not an island but a bay opposite St Nicholas Island (a site of ancient ruins - alongside which boat trips moor up). It is very easy to pick up a bus to Gemiler Bay outside the big Mosque in Fethiye. They run every hour from mid May. There is another bus which doesn't go as far as Gemiler... More

This island despite its St Nicholas (Santa) links, must have been a really useful staging / victualling / post for travellers over millennia. With a good sheltered anchorage and presumably lashings of food and water for sale it must have been an important stop for any travellers from the West. The covered way - reminiscent of a pilgrimage route to... More

We visited this island as part of a boat tour in which we also visited butterfly valley, etc. The island itself was fantastic with lots to see and plenty of trekking to get to the ruins that are higher up, however our boat tour only allowed us 45 minute at this site which is by no means enough time. We... More

We chartered a boat and sailed from Marmaris to Kekova over 2 weeks, we ate all along the coast at many restaurants, pulling into Gemiler Adasi is a magical spot, the view is stunning and well worth the trip. Please, Please, Please be aware of the restaurant on the beach (right side when facing it, with Fethyie over the hill).... More

Please avoid the cafe on the right hand side at beach level, it displays no prices and they rip you off terribly. They have no shame and will demand payment and verbally abuse you if you complain.
