Took family of four, 11year and 16year old kids. Good fun walking up the gorge. As per previous comments drive OVER first bridge and avoid paid carpark. Also, although there are tough parts to navigate guides generally will help all. We didn't take a formal guide but did tip the one that helped my son through one of the tricker... More

This is a tourist honey pot in the summer months. I visited in August 2014 and expected it to be very busy. I had arrived early in the day as part of a guided tour. It cost a further 5tl to enter the gorge, which was relatively quiet at the time but heaving by the time we left. I was... More

We visited Sakklikent Gorge as a tour package together with Tlos from Dalyan. The drive is around 2 hours. The area is very over-developed with tacky souvenir stalls and expensive snack bars all the way from the parking lot to the ticket office, chaotic screaming from groups gathering, no info about renting the shoes, no signage, BUT it is still... Fab experience, we spent hours in the cool of the gorge not as part of a trip. Only take minimal clothes and some water and waterproof camera. Great fun for kids too. Food by the river afterwards is a great chill out. Top exeprience

If you are in this area of Turkey you have to visit the Saklikent Gorge... Water is amazingly cold and trekking through the Gorge is great fun... Keep going through some difficult rocks to the waterfall...

I recommend to drive yourselves there rather than organised tours so you can spend as long as you want. Definitely worth getting suitable foot wear for walking in fast running water and on muddy slippery rocks. Brilliant day out, fabulous scenery and excellent challenge. You get plenty of help from random foreigners and you help them too so great international... More

Went with hamishn mcturk. It gets hot and once you're in you can't get out if you've forgotten water etc. You'll need water shoes if you want to cross the river! I did my partner didn't. It's rocky but do able. Once over the other side is very dry. Takesd a while to get there from ouldeniz but worth it...... More

We did this trip twice as the first time we went without wet shoes, there are café's and bars that offer wet shoes but I didn't want to be obliged to eat or drink at these places. The second visit we did the lot, walked into the gorge as far as possible, got covered in mud (it really is very... More

We drove ourselves to the Gorge, so we could stay as long as we wanted, rather than a coach trip. Make sure you have suitable footwear, we hired plastic shoes, you can buy them as well. Its not worth wearing sandals or flip flops. We saw many lost along the way because they had fallen off. We walked, waded through water... More
