It is a wonderful place, but I'll write about things to watch out. 1) wear "sea shoes." You can brings some with you or rent them at the entrance. But do not wear flip flops or sneakers. 2) Wear shorts, you get into a thigh-high water to enter the gorge. After the first entrance, it is pretty much very shallow... More

We spent a few hours in the Saklikent Gorge and had a fantastic time. As soon as we paid the entrance fee, a young man approached us and told us that he was our guide. We wrongly assumed that he had been assigned to us as we were a group and that the entry fee covered him. So we followed... More

Drove to Saklikent Gorge and didnt go on organised trip. Paid extra for the guide and did wonder why at the start. However glad we did, walked through to the waterfall, some parts extremely slippy and deep but the guide knew where the natural obstacles were and pointed out things on the way. Nice day out, also shadey and cool... More

We took the dolmus from Fethiye to Saklikent. It was 11 TL and runs every 20 minutes. You can stop and transfer to TLOS at a small town along the way, but it is not straightforward . Around the gorge there are many restaurants with docks and hammocks that are next to pools fed by the cold springs. The depth... More

Me and my husband recently visited the gorge as a part of a Jeep Safari trip and were very pleasantly surprised. We only had a couple of hours to make our way through the obstacles and try to get to the waterfall but unfortunately we ran out of time. What we did see was beautiful though and I feel proud... I was a bit unsure about this when it was suggested but I have to say it's one of my all time amazing memories. The walk starts off pretty spectacularly on the rapids but soon calms down, you can wander through the gorge in the shade making this a cooling break from the heat of the sun. All of a... More

We visited Saklikent from where we were staying Kalkan (less than an hour away). We booked the visit to Saklikent through a travel company in Kalkan called Mediteram and I couldn't recommend them highly enough for this. The gorge is incredible and was definitely the highlight of our 2 week trip, but a lot of that credit goes to Mediteram... More
