Beautiful gardens, archaelogical significance, wonderful old mosque

Walking among the gardens here with trees casting shade was very welcome contrast on a hot day. We went into the mosque and enjoyed the beautiful blue tiles and peacefulness... read more

I was at the Alaaddin hill only 2 months ago and it was the most gorgeous place in Konya I can say. Was filled with many kinds of Tulips and flowers. You feel like you are in piece of heaven. Seeing families having their time with their kids, laughter and enjoyment. I would recommend to go there end of April,... More

Walking among the gardens here with trees casting shade was very welcome contrast on a hot day. We went into the mosque and enjoyed the beautiful blue tiles and peacefulness. There is a stunning multi tiered waterfall and fountains at the Mevlana Caddesi entrance.

Alaeddin hill is really a must if you visit Konya. I short stroll from Mevlana museum. It has beautiful picture perfect flower garden that sets the mind in chill out mode. Cafes are available on the hill that sell different type of drinks mainly çay and delicious desserts. Very tranquil environment. Beautiful masjid is on sight aswell. Great atmosphere. Definitely... This is a small town but we enjoyed the few attractions here. Nice place to just relax and the mosque mosque nearby was also a nice visit.

Nice place for sunny Sunday afternoon. A little bit overcrowded, a little bit too much garbage around people, a little bit not enought service, but nice and peacefull.

this mosque is not beautiful but note the details. Look at the columns, they are all different. Go outside and see the tombs If an old yellow toothed Turk offers to show you around take him up on it Drink tea with him and give him a small tip and you will have had a great Turkish experience

From the front there was little difference from many other mosques, also the inside was very large, contemporary and lacking spiritual feeling (for us). As you go to the side and behind the older buildings come into view and you start to see what was here before. The courtyard, the tombs and the ruin below are interesting and not crowded... More

We drove around, got off and unfortunately did not have as much time as it deserved. It is a relaxing place to spend time on a cooler day or evening.
