Peaceful place with well kept gardens and soft grass to sit on. Cool place (as in cool from the heat). Also 'cool' !!

I visited here with family on a hot day. Up on the hill it felt cooler and had a lovely chilled atmosphere. The mosque is certainly worth a visit and I would recommend a juice/tea in one of the tea gardens. Lovely parks for kids too.

This is a little park area in the middle of Konya. There is not much here except for a mosque from the Seljuk period. But it was nice to wander around the gardens and stop for tea and ice cream at one of the open air cafes. If you have time on your hands in Konya, this is a nice... More

The tomb at the top of the hill contains Alaeddin and other sultans for as far back as the 12th century. If you are brave walk the wall and look down! A sense of history fills you here.

The Alaeddin Mosque is a wonderful example of Islamicarchitecture and well worth visiting. I was made to feel verywelcome, especially as a non-believer I was able to walk across the prayer carpet to see the wonderful carved ebony mimber and superb tiling. The park itself is shady with beautifully planted flower beds. There are lots of places for refreshment too.

I assumed I can find some thing special in Alaeddin Hill. But for me at least it was just something similar to other parks around the place. Worth of visit in extra time i think.

Take a tea, listen to tree's sound and visit the history of the Anatolian Selcuk Empire. Take a rest and go forward for Hz. Mevlana
