While sitting in the plaza in front of this mosque, be sure to be available and listen to the call for prayer. It's the loudest and most resonant in Konya and will amaze those with sensitivity to its meaning.

Selimiye Mosque, also known as Sultan Selim II Mosque, is a major attraction in beautiful Konya. Built in traditional otoman style, full of mosaics and old tiles, the Mosque is next to Mevlana Museum and can be reached easily. Dont't miss it while visiting Konya, the whirling dervixes homeland.
