We only spent a few minutes in the Konak Square, but it has lovely architecture and the clock tower is rather beautiful. It is very close to the Agean Sea foreshore and was buzzing with people. Unless you are eating at a restaurant in the Square, I would think a half hour would more than be enough time spent there.

Nice place, near souq. You can't miss it if you walking all the way on shoreline. Not a big place, so you just take pictures and continue your way..

This square located to seaside, I would dare to say that is the heart of the city. Usually highly attended, in this square is located the clock tower, one of the most famous landmarks of Izmir. Worth a visit, also around and just a few minutes walking there's some good restaurants, and shops, and bazaars.

It's a place to just go and hang out or hang around I guess. Nice coffee shops a walk on the bridge and a view of the sea with ferries docking in and out. Summer or winter, its a place to just show up and watch and be seen

This is the center of Izmir. on the walk to the city center, there are several restaurants where you can eat, relax or enjoy a drink. The clock tower is very nice to photograph as is the Mosque. There are many benches provided so you can sit and relax or feed the pigeons. In addition the ferry boat dock is... More

Konak Square is always crowded, visited a while back, popular with the locals and tourists, you have the Clock Tower and the Mosque to see also while you are there.

Day was fantastic and sunny and we took walk from our hotel in Konak area by the sea and then reach Konak Square which was very crowded but beautiful place to spend some time.... All around you can find a lot of restorans and cafés where you can eat very cheap!!

I will also suggest to book your hotel somewhere around the square. Harbour, Saat Kulesi, Kemeralti market and Kordon Boyu are in the 4 directions of the konak square. Have... More

This area is a transition area between the bazaar/downtown shopping and the waterfront. It is part of a pedestrian street and is always very busy during the day. Nice small mosque and clock tower. Lots of pigeons and kids chasing after them.

just walking around this square, with its restored mosque, modern and historic buildings is a joy, but above all watching the the people of this beautiful city, working, and enjoying the open air , is a heart warming experience
