Walk around and see the Izmir life. Couples in love holding hands, friends enjoying the moment, families walking around and playing with children, and even dogs playing and having fun. There is even a section with free wifi that you could enjoy surfing while watching and relaxing in this area . Also there are cafes and restaurants where you could... More

I stayed in Renaissance hotel near the kordon. Kordon is an awesome walking place with zephyr. It reminds me nariman point of mumbai. There are many restaurants and you get MODA ice cream around the corner. You will see many fishermen trying to catch fishes. Nights and Morning walks are wonderful in the Kordon.

This is a long area that was enjoyable to stroll among the locals, watch men fishing from the shore and watch the ferries come and go. Had we had more time I wanted to hop a ferry just to see the city from the water. Part of the waterfront is lined with cafes/restaurants that appear to be very nice.

Nice place to chill out in one of numerous bars or restaurants or simply to sit by the seaside and watch the sunset over the bay of Izmir. While visiting the area, don't forget to check out those few late 19/early 20 century rich merchants' residences (now turned into upscale restaurants or Ataturk museum) that have managed to survive the...
