Just amazing ancient city which symbolize Anatolian culture. Especially ancient theater and harbor road are awesome.

Nothing can prepare you for Ephesus. It's huge. As you walk each area is more immpresive than the last. Be sure to see it if you travel to Turkey.

To clarify a confusion: there's an Ephesus Museum inside the Selcuk village. I guess it's an actual building, with exhibitions about the ancient city of Ephesus. We didn't visit that. What we did visit, and now reviewing - is actually the site of Ephesus city itself, or rather what's left of it, few kilometers outside Selcuk. It is totally possible... More

We were one of the first to arrive at Ephasus and luckily for us there were no cruise ships docked in Izmir on the day we travelled to Ephasus. This must be one of the best places to visit in Turkey. Make sure that you have enough time to take in all that this wonderful place has to offer. Even... More

We have been to Selcuk 2 times this year but the museum was/is still closed for renovation/upgrading - otherwise would have given 4 points. It is a medium sized museum, but interesting - especially if you have been visiting Ephesus itself. In that case this museum is a must to visit (when it is open). The official website says "The... Great experience. Not to be missed and be sure to have a couple hours to walk around. It is packed full of tour groups so just know there will be many others present when you are there. I was with a guide part of the time and on my own part of it and it was fine. There are so... More

This is an excellent site. I only had three hours there, this was not enough, allow five. Remember to also see the Terraced houses, you need a separate ticket for this and they are not sold together.
