Fantastic accoustics,try shouting and hear your voice return. Not good for people with mobilityissues as very stoney and steep. Again it gets hot so you need protection,a hat and sensible shoes and don,t forget your camera. Included in the entrance fee to ephesus or efes as called in turkish

They still use the staium for weddings, school events, etc. Amazing. You can see where Paul preached and where he was imprisioned at the same time. A lady sang Amazing Grace while we were there and we could hear it all over the stadium.

This stadium will come alive from history if you read the account of the near riot that occurred here. The local silversmiths were worried that their silver statue business might be hurt because so many citizens were turning from their worship of Artemis (Diana) to the Christian faith. The story is told in Acts 19:21-41.
