This is probably the best known landmark of Ephesus....the Celsus library was the biggest library of the ancient times ...Only the facade still remains...but itz a stunning view as one descends down the slope...

Do not miss, great to take pictures. Inside the ruins of Ephesus. Great site. I felt as I if I had traveled back in time.

It is hard to believe that man was as civilized as he was back in these ancient times. It is a central focal point of the city.

Just one of the many ancient marvels at Ephesus. Located opposite the Roman brothel. Thousands of years later and still so impressive. One of my favourite sites.

This library is part of Efes, the ancient Roman city and was a public library there. Nice ruins and well marked. Worth a dekko.

This is a wonderful place and well worth visiting. Having visited lots of ancient sites over the years, this one is so impressive, it has to rate as one of my all-time favourite places. The whole site is amazing: there's Ephesus' ancient Parliament, temples, statues, entrance to the ancient market place and after these one comes to the Ampitheatre where... More

Whole ancient Ephesus is monumental, but the library of Celsus stands out because of its particular architecture. The facade is adorned with four statues on the ground floor. The statues simbolize the virtues of Celsus. The ticket is affordable so don't miss the opportunity to visit the ancient city of Ephesus!!!!

It is quite a walk to see the entire area but we were fortunate enough to have a great tour guide George who made every moment special. Toward the end of the ruins they began a... More

This structure easily dominates the scenery, and looking at it from afar with people gives you the scope of its grandeur. The detail is also impressive, and this site is a highlight of any trip to Ephesus.

This is an amazing library that is easily the most impressive structure but you can see this just from the picture. Look out for the passageway between the library and the (Ladies house) an underground tunnel even back then. I found it slightly amusing to think how things have changed.
