If you have a chance to visit the city of Gaziantep in Turkey, you won't regret even if you see nothing but this museum. Although the city is very famous with kebabs and baklava, the real treasure waits for you in this lovely building.

It's a must in Gaziantep! Mosaics are unique and fascinating. Gypsy girl is visited in a seperate room. Also visit the museum shop. Prices are ok. Highly recommended.
It's a small museum in terms of time needed to wander around but beautifully laid out in wide open space and atmospheric lighting, with some stunning mozaics - including the 'gypsy' girl. A place to wander around with time in your hand, after a hard day's touristing.
If you are living in Düseldorf or Frankfurt hop on a SunExpress flight that will directly take you to Gaziantep. Food is excellent and prices are reasonable. More than those you will visit the Best Museum of Europe of 2012, the Zeugma Mosaic Museum of Gaziantep. This is the best museum and even better than the one in Athens. The...

Must see this museum, absolutely amazing to see such beautiful artwork created in 2nd centry, it's been restored & displayed to a very high standard.
This museum is well worth a visit. The mosaics are beautiful and it is hard to imagine nearly everything in the museum was uncovered in the last 15 years. The famous "Gipsy Girl mosaic" is housed here. The museum has state of the art touch screen displays and I pod style audio guides. The museum cost only 5 dollars to...

I am still awestruck by the presentation of so many exquisite mosaics so well preserved. I cannot say enough about the famous Gypsy Girl; she is enchanting, and beautifully displayed in her own darkened room. Be sure to take the audio guide which was very well prepared.
The museum is very large and modern with spacious exposition rooms. Mosaics were transferred from several towns and espcially from roman Zeugma (by Eufrates). Now Zeugma is named Belkis and is partly overflooded from one of the dams of Eufrates. The mosaics are of an extraordinary high quality borth with regard to artistic value and conservation status. The collections are...

The mosaics are very well displayed. On ground level it might look a little bit dark but from the 1st floor you have a marvelous view on the mosaics. It is amazing how well preserved the mosaics look.
8 TL at all. Grand hall. Grandiose mosaics. Nice light. Understandable texts. You can make fotos (except Gipsy, she in the dark room with a dying light). Toilets free of charge :-) So Gaziantep is one of my likest cities in Turkey. Zeugma museum - too.
