It's well worth the effort because the marina is a lovely crescent-shaped place where fishing boats rub shoulders with smart yachts. Watch the fishermen sell their latest catch and chat with yacht owners. A few small cafes offer coffee or tea. Look back up toward the plateau, which forms the basis of Antalya and get a special view of the landmarks from down below. « less

Walking down from Hadrians Gate to the harbour takes you through a typical Turkish shopping area and yes they all want to sell to you but without being over pushy and happy to joke as you pass. There are many restaurants on the eastern side and the narrow streets are great fun for just enjoying the atmosphere and the views.... More

Really nice place to visit - just watch the walk back up, not easy if you have walking difficulties. The "bazaars on the walk back are worth a look. Good restaurants in the harbour. Try the fish in Iskele.

Best boat trips are for 1-2 hours I found. Don't take the first price you're given, walk away if it seems too expensive, and ask for money off if you're a big group. You shouldn't pay more than 5 lira for a 45 minute-1 hour boat trip. Great to see Antalya from a different perspective and great views of the... More

Can take a boat tour from here, go to the rocky beach and sunbath, sit down and have a turkish coffee, eat a sardine burger.. a lot to do in here and the view from top of the life was amazing. However, the turkish ice-cream man and boat trips sales were kinda noisy.. tho they must be very tiring screaming... More

After roaming around the old part of the town through narrow cobbled streets head down to the harbour and you'll see a restaurant perched at the top of the cliff. Get a table next to the glass balustrade and you could be anywhere in the world, truly wonderful. Fresh fish is good but it is more expensive.

I found the marina way more interesting from afar! It is worth the visit if you want to book a boat trip. The wandering through Kaleici is more interesting than the destination. Noisy, narrow, with people shouting and trying to convince you to go on a boat trip, we didn't feel like staying long, took few pictures and went eating... More

Tourist boats leave the old harbour, that biblical Paul visited on his trips to Asia Minor (now Turkey), for trips that can last 1, 2 or 6 hours. The touts for the boats will try and rip you off with extortionate prices but you can get a reasonable boat ride to see the sights if you shop around, haggle and... More

You can negotiate with the crew a good rate. Had a two hour boat ride along the coast which was very enjoyable.

Pretty enough but quite busy when we went. We found a fairly quiet bar for a drink, which was a pleasant break.
