Description: Descend from Kaleici to the Antalya Marina via very steep stone steps...
Descend from Kaleici to the Antalya Marina via very steep stone steps. Bring sturdy shoes so as not to slip. It's well worth the effort because the marina is a lovely crescent-shaped place where fishing boats rub shoulders with smart yachts. Watch the fishermen sell their latest catch and chat with yacht owners. A few small cafes offer coffee or tea. Look back up toward the plateau, which forms the basis of Antalya and get a special view of the landmarks from down below.

The harbour is great to wonder around. Wonderful old boats to see and can take a cruise of the harbour If there on a Friday or Saturday you will probably see quite a few brides having their photos taken because of the great location.

The old town and marina are full of shops, eateries and history. The marina itself has a range of tourist boats ready to take you around the cost. Some tasteful but many more garish! Good to wander around - we didn't buy anything as the prices seemed high.

The old town lined with small shops was brilliant on the way down to the marina. There is a lift to go back up if you don't want to walk up the hill but great shopping and the usual haggling skills needed which add to the experience. The shop keepers were not as pushy as seen in Egypt. All were friendly and the... Approached by walking downhill - there is a lift - through a Turkish type roadside bazaar which is colourful but not unusual the harbour is small and seemed to be dedicated to tourist travel in the surrounding seas

We were given about 90 minutes to wander the Harbour and Old Town area of Antalya and it simply wasn't enough. The view from the hill overlooking the harbour was just gorgeous (reminding us of Crete) and meandering through the cobbled streets with the quaint cafes and small hotels was a delight. Even getting somewhat lost was fun.

Great experience just walking the streets of Old Town & exploring random places. Wandered to the harbor for a nice relaxing stop, enjoying the breeze. Plenty of market shops & places to eat along the way.

We went through the markets in the old town Antalyia and down to the Marina. There are boats taking people out around the bay. It was a beautiful day and a very pleasant experience.

A nice place to watch sunset. Many restaurant around with nice ambience. I think this is the best place to spend your afternoon after visiting museum or having a day tour
