Owner description: Descend from Kaleici to the Antalya Marina via very steep stone steps. Bring sturdy shoes so as not to slip. It's well worth the effort because the marina is a lovely crescent-shaped place where fishing boats rub shoulders with smart yachts. Watch the fishermen sell their latest catch and chat with yacht owners. A few small cafes offer coffee or tea. Look back up toward the plateau, which forms the basis of Antalya and get a special view of the landmarks from down below.

Took a 30 minute cruise of the harbor in one of the ships tricked out like a Johnny Depp pirate creature. Was promised a waterfall and a cave, which were both delivered in the first five minutes. Lovely views of the mountains on a clear day. Very relaxing.

The old harbour walls are quite impressive and the old town above, worth a walk through to see the restoration work that has been carried out on the buildings.

We visited the harbour during our stay in Antalya over December. There is so much to appreciate about and at this place, yet the constant harassment by self-appointed pirate ship captains and restauranteurs during the off-season made us rush through there without lifting our heads. Maybe it is better in summer?

The old Antalya city center has a marvelous harbour. We enjoyed a stroll and stopped in many shops eating traditional Turkish icecream and bargaining for goods. After that, we had our lunch in a nice restaurant overlooking the harbour. We ended our visit by taking a two-hour boat tour enjoying the scenes. You will find many tourist offices that offer... We had limited time in Antalya, so we decided to walk down to the Harbour Area. On the way, we passed by many shops selling lovely souvenirs. Unfortunately, it was raining, so we did not see the harbour at its best. It is very picturesque and the ornate boats moored there had statues of sea gods in them. We walked... More

Since my first visit in 2010 an attempt has been made to tidy up the pedestrian areas which has made it much more attractive with seating around the palm trees and much less litter. There are lots of touts selling boat trips - make sure you negotiate to get a good price. A boat trip is a wonderful way to... More
