Really old and beautiful fortress. It's good for getting to know a little bit of Alanya history and culture. The view from the top is breathtaking. Also a lot of great restaurants and tea places nearby.

Alanya's castle was much bigger than expected. Accidentally we too the longer way trough the museum after the Red Tower - it is a killer walk in afternoon but enjoyable to go trough all the buildings and ruins. Worth to take some photos of the lighted city after sunset.

I've been there at night what made it even better - the landscape, the breeze, just awesome. situated where it is you'll have to expect to break into a bit of a sweat, but when you get there you will be rewarded with a view that will make you forget the slog up the hill. Take the time to walk around the castle and enjoy a picnic even!

8km uphill in 40C+ temperatures? Taxi from the town was 25TL, if you can find the number 4 bus stop it will be the standard 2TL per head that all the Town buses charge(air conditioned and good service). Not much left of the castle and limited history boards, not much to keep younger children entertained. Walked down which was quite... More

Went there with my partner's family, with the long drive up there are amazing views of the surrounding coast. You can snap some stunning pictures of the surrounding area with the castle. Though we didn't go inside we enjoyed the castle area immensely, also did you know from the citadel they used to say to prisoners if they can throw... More

As the title says I don't like giving poor reviews , especially as it means I've wasted time of my holiday doing something that is not very good .. I am interested in history and if I'm near a place of interest I try and visit . I had talked my wife into accompanying me on a day trip 2... More

After a long travel from Antalya finally we got there the top of the castle with a breath taking view of Alanya. It was very hot but we had our water for the kids so they didn't complain much. Highly recommend to go there and see the castle and the perfect view
