At first time we were on top the mountain at midday and our walking continued 3-4 hours. During this time we saw the beautiful views to two side of Alanya; to port and to Kleopatra Beach. Alanya Kalesi is old castle from old times of Osman Imperium with great history. On top are many small shops were we buyed turkish... More

The view from the top of the castle is beautiful, well worth the visit and there's some rather cute little shops up there too. It's a rather long walk up so I'd recommend catching the bus up. Then walk down the hill, via the mosque and local side roads and stop for lunch looking over the port!

It was a lovely day out and amazing unforgettable views. Best to go early morning or after midday as we went went at midday and it was very hot. Don't take a pushchair /buggy as it was hard to push on cobbled walkways.

This place is just one of those where you should visit when are at Alanya. Historical place. Maybe not so beautiful but worth to see. You can go by walk, buss or take taxi. By walking can be rough because going all time up but without rush you can do it. And there places where can stop and rest and... More

It reminded me of Eze village in the south of France. It is sooo interesting that people are still living in the castle. You enter through the stone entrance arch and walk through the narrow streets. Amazing experience. Beautiful boutique hotels where you can sit and drink coffee and watch the view while resting.

If you visit in Alanya, you cannot miss the place from where the story of Alanya has started. Historical Kale with old mosque, church and castle walls with beautiful views on sunset. Nice local restaurants and small Kale village on the way. Highly recommend!!!

The castle is nothing great, just yet another historic site. But the view from the top is worth the visit. You can see the whole city of Alanya from up there and the sea also, which is quite a ravishing sight. Shouldn't miss!
