I am an absolute beginner at horse-riding but my girlfriend is completely addicted and has been riding since a very young age. Recently, we both stayed at the Royal Carriage Club for a week of riding (two hours a day each) and this was the best and most comfortable holiday we have ever been on, by far. We were welcomed... Club owners only care about intermediate to advanced riders; they won't look at you if you're a beginner. They're also after people with good money; a couple of lessons won't do for them. So make sure you go with a pocket full of cash and previous experience in riding.

We are surprised at the entire contents of your review, and would like to give our point of view: You arrived at our club on a Sunday afternoon requesting a beginner riding lesson, we explained that many riders had pre-booked and that we had a waiting list, however we booked you a lesson on Tuesday, with a private instructor and... We booked a week of daily promenades in advance and were offered a personalized program for us and our 11 year old daughter. Communication and service was perfect from the first email up to the final cup of coffee we had with Jacqui and Moncef. Very flexibel and nice people who have done their utmost to make our expectations more... More

We booked 10 hours tuition....riding x promenade.... very good prices... Jacqui sorted the hours around our holiday.. We had a fantastic experience.... Beautiful horses and they are very much loved x cared for... We learnt so much about the horses and riding...how they behave...and to have the confidence to ride them... Moncef....I think I drove him mad! we also learnt... More

I took weekly classes during my 4-month stay in djerba and enjoyed it so much! I would recommend them to anyone visiting the island. They care for their horses and have good equipment. Hope to see you again one day!

Never thought i would learn horsebackriding, but it was the best experience during my stay in Djerba. Nice horses and great, professional teacher! Thank you Moncef and Jacky!

My boyfriend and I took a one week course over the Christmas period. We had a personalised programme consisting of two hours of lessons in the morning and a four hour trail ride in the afternoon. The lessons were taken at The School and the trails were accompanied by a guide at a local partner company. During the period we... More

The couple who run the club are really charming. The teaching was excellent and very thorough but the lessons are really tough as the horses are so bad. We had about five lessons here but canceled the other ones we had booked as we found the horses really horrible to ride. On day one I got bucked off at a... More

First of all thank you for your review, we would like to make the following comments: On arrival at our club, you explained to us that your partner was a total beginner and you had ridden a lot on promenades but not had a lot of instruction, we therefore provided private lessons to your partner and you joined the instructor... We were here for our job and we had nothing to do on our day off, so we started horse riding. We started with the lessons for beginners and the course is verry good. Every week we look forward to go to the riding school. The people there are verry friendly and helpful. And the most important thing is that... More

Highly recommended with friendly rider instructor, horse and atmosphere. My husband and myself took 10 hrs lesson over a week and at the end of it we both decided to continue the lesson in England with very much enthusiastic to improve riding skill and possibly back here again with ability to ride along the Tunisian beach in Djerba.

Thank you very much for your review. You both progressed extremely well during your beginners riding course. We would be very happy to see you again and with your continuing lessons in England be delighted to arrange a promenade on the Flamingo Island with 5 miles of natural unspoilt beaches. More
