-This was a wonderful experience with my 16 year old grandson from North Carolina. Coming from New York we take the 1000 Inslands for granted but he was amazed by the tour and the information he learned. Most of his family orginated in New York and he has an interest in fishing the Great Lakes. The information was fun and the... More

The best way to see the inhabited fraction of these 1800+ islands is from the American side. Access to the Boldt castle is easier as well. That pretty much means a stop at Alexandria Bay and Uncle Sam boat tours. We took a shuttle to the castle and then a sunset cruise around the millionaire row. The boat was nice... More

My father took me many years ago as a child, so I was excited to take my boyfriend whom had never been to the Islands before. I was thrilled that the tour was very much like I had remembered it. We were lucky enough to be on one of the larger tour boats, so there was ample outdoor seating. We... More

My wife and I, along with our 2 grandchildren were very disappointed yesterday with our 1 hour cruise along 'Millionaires Row'. We sat on the uncovered upper deck to get the best view and I told them they would hear all the stories about the amazing homes we would pass. Much to our surprise, the sound system on the boat... This is the 3rd time in past years that we have taken the Uncle Same Boat Tours. Although the tours and staff do an awesome job, it seems that over the years they do not give you as much information/stories on the mansions in the 2 Nation Tour as they use to. The guides tell several jokes to add humor... More

This is an hour tour that leaves Alex Bay and goes west in the St. Lawrence to see several of the large Victorian and turn of the century homes (estates) that perch on the shores of the St. Lawrence River. The tour then does a U-turn and goes East along the shore to see more houses, has a quick foray... More

Nice tour, boat could have been cleaner. If you are going to boldt castle go as part of a tour. The price for the 10 minute shuttle is $8.50 which seems a bit high. On a pretty day,a great way to see the river.

If you take this tour and want to visit Boldt Castle, you want to know that the tour stops at the castle at the end of the trip and you may want to allow several hours on Heart Island. The young girl who was our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommended!

This boat tour was excellent! We had perfect weather for it, which made it even better. We were advised to get a seat on the upper deck, which I did, and would definitely recommend as well. The tour guide was very informative yet not too much so. We stopped at Boldt Castle, which was fantastic. We took the 2 hour... More
