Great looking bridge Scary as hell to walk over. Quite a thrill when the bridge stars bouncing half way over from traffic.

Beautiful views at every angle coming over the Thousand Island Bridges in NY. Need to come back in the warmer months, lots to do in the immediate area.

Coming from the NY mainland side, if you pull into the parking lot just before the toll booths, you can hop out and walk up the pedestrian part of the bridge. Neat views, and if you go on the greatlakes-seaway site, you can figure out when the lake freighters will pass under the bridge (also lots of fun, and sometimes... More

A beautiful bridge with a beautiful view. Got some fantastic pictures of and from the bridge. The Thousand Islands are incredible and a drive across the bridge is great.

How I could have missed it so long I don't know. Amazing area that all need to see. I just imagine the Voyagers paddling through a hundred + years ago loaded with supplies and beavers pelts. One feels the history in this area.

There are lots more imposing suspension bridges around the world but this bridge claim to fame is it happens to cross St Lawrence River's Thousand Islands. The views from its highest point are spectacular.

I have driven over the Thousand Island Bridge several times and each time I wish I could just walk across and take my time . . . maybe next time.
