Very nice beach, not that crowded as other beaches in Phuket. It has also an area suitable for children where the water is small. You can rent sunbeds directly from the beach. During the day you can buy fruits, boiled corn, grilled fish or chicken from the locals.

We enjoy strong waves almost all year round, lots of small seafood restaurants and the area with low water for kids

Need a taxi or car to reach this scenic beach but worth the effort. Beach in good condition. plenty of deck chairs to rent. Local shops selling beach stuff and good selection of restaurants selling nice seafood. A nice day out. Naiharn Village, 2km away, has some great restaurants for the evening

Great scenery, can see the island in the bay, and the cape is located just to the south west which is especially beautiful. The waves can get quite strong in monsoon so beware. Quite remote and usually much quieter than many of the other beaches.

This place used to be my favorite beach on Phuket island. Meanwhile the military regime banned all loungers and other vendors from all phuket beaches so nobody feels now responsible to keep the beaches clean. As a result of this Nai Harn beach is now more a dump than a beach. The small area where kids could swim ( connection... More

We've tried out several beaches in the last week along the west coast and by far far far, Nai Harn is the best for swimming (will be writing reviews on Laem Singh, Bang Tao, Surin and Freedom to follow). It's also got a bit more of a boho feel to it, far less commercial and perfect for us, with real... More

Beach very littered and many stray dogs. Trade on beaches has changed, apparently, in the wake of the military coup.

This is a nice beach, but it's better now that the military junta has kicked out the vendors and hawkers. You do need to remember now to take your own beach chair or blanket, but it is a small price to pay for freedom from hassle.

Upside: No sellers, jetskies or parachute. Life guards and small restaurants just behind. Downside: Can be subjected to underwater currents, Just follow the color of flag posted, and you are safe.
