We visited in Monsoon season, this however made no difference to the amount of fun we had. Seashells, markets, Massage outlets, Muay thai schools, Temples and beaches and the highlight for us was visiting the sea gypseys beach front. Buying our seafood fresh from the street and having it deliciously prepared by local Thai restaurants........ so much to do, we... More

A truly beautiful place. We travelled here for the day to eat by the beach in a lovely restaurant (sorry I have forgotten the name). It was not Nov 2014 but the year of the Indonesian earthquake. We were evacuated up to the highest point on the hill in any vehicle that was passing and waited for hours until the... More

Rawai beach is a little like a protected bay for moorings long tail boats and speed boats , to walk from one end to the other is interesting and pleasant under the big trees , as you walk along there are lots of small restaurants on both sides of the rd and most are good value . At the end... More

Although Rawai Beach is ok for taking a stroll along, I definately would not recommend it to those who would like to do some sun bathing or swimming. It's rocky, it's full of boats, the nearby restaurants are fool of touts and it's just not a nice beach. Head on over to Kata Beach or Nai Harn beach for a... More

this is another option for swimming. Quiet and relaxing place. sea is cleaner than city centre. A place you can just stop while passing, swim and continue.

After reading the reviews, I asked my brother to take me there on a motorcycle. It turned out to be somewhere we passed by the day before. The tide was low when we arrived and the view was quite interesting since you can see lots of boats scattered along the beach. I did not find the place attractive but my... More

Nice beach but the sales people are crooks and shame how dirty the place is. Stay in a private resort with there own beach public beach is a cash trap

Rawlings is lovely low tide for a walk. There are numerous restraints and hrs across the road. Wear shoes in the water it is very shallow and flat with barnacles.

We got a taxi over to Rawai for the fish market. Only a 20 minute drive from Kata Noi with amazing views and glimpses of local life. Took a walk along the pier where we saw the locals fishing and some cute kids playing games and dancing around. Once the sun set, not that you fully see it from here,... More

Rawai beach is clean and quiet . I think teh best feature are the restaurants on the side of the road where you can sit at a low table and eat fresh seafood while looking out over the ocean . there are some decent bars and restaurants across from the beach also which are not crazy busy but still fun
