The beach is not for swimming and it is dirty. There are no services around, restaurants or anything that may entice you to get in. There are fishing boats parked everywhere and the view is not even nice.

This is a nice sandy beach but not really a place to go to for relaxing . It's worth a visit to see the long tail boats and there's several restaurants there too. It's nice to see a place where the locals are. There are lots of boat trips you can go on including coral island and that is worth... More

Good beach with all services nearby. A lot of long tail boats and speed boats selling you day trips. Rather take a boat to nearby islands than stay in Rawai. Anyway Rawai comes with plenty of good restaurants, pizzerias, and seafood, with affordable prices.

Rawai Beach is a lovely long stretch of seafront, but not really a beach as such, long tail boats park here for tourist trips to the small islands scattered around Phuket, and some smart, and also good value restaurants, the last few years has seen bars opening up along the front, so the nightlife in Rawai is interesting.

Rawai Beach is the place where the locals go to eat and hang out, particularly on a Sunday when it gets pretty busy. You can eat fresh seafood and thai dishes on the sand looking out at the sea and get a longtail boat out to the islands. The beach itself isn;t for swimming but is a base for the... More

The beach is very tidal. Is mostly a fishing beach town. Best location to get long boat to outer islands. Best restaurants.

Private beach, one can swim when the tides are high, but it is a place where you can close your eyes and sleep and not even worry about your pocket money..

Not great for swimming but lots of boats leave from here and the markets are great. Local food is lovely and there are lots of cheap massages.

Rawai beach is beautiful thai beach with picturesque views and thai restaurants by the sea. Here you can get very nice thai food and spend time walking in a shadows of trees or relaxing on the sand. The beach is not swimmable and this makes the area quiet from tourists. If you choose Rawai for your holidays, be sure to... More

And what a great day we had. We thought it was really pretty, tide in, lots of long tail boats, families swimming and picnicking. Went to the seafood market, where the variety and colours of the live fish and seafood were just amazing. We walked to the end of Rawai Beach, when yet another tuk tuk bus came past, so... More
