We rode on scooters to Rawai to have lunch. A great experience, you pick out your seafood on one side of the road, then take it to a restaurant on the other side of the road and they cook it for you. Really cheap meal and yummy.

Took a motorbike here nice ride from Patong in low season. Parking is free. Nice views across the bay but nothing special. - good for boat photos. It was steaming hot and few vendors we had a picnic on the empty sea front wall. Nice fishing boats but a lot of flotsam and jetsam! Relatively peaceful.

Took my wife and I there by taxi. The place was very interesting. Seafood venders on one side displaying their catches and places that cook your purchase on the other side. Fantastic fresh seafood and the biggest prawns "shrimp" you'll ever see. I was going to get a lobster but when I looked at the prawns I had to try... More

It is most for fishing, there are boats everywhere and because of that the water there is polluted. So, not for swimming.

Visited here 2 Sunday afternoons as a family (3 boys). This beach is popular for local Thai families on Sunday afternoons to eat outside under the large trees lining the beach front. Food is ordered at the tables on the beach side of the road, and the food is brought over from the restaurant kitchens on the other side of... More

Could be so much nicer. A promenade blocked by signs and broken paving stones on one side and the smell of sewage and street dogs on the other. All the restaurants are the same. Some nice little bars though. Kims massage is good. Along the road from the pier is The White Hart bar which is fun with nice staff... More

Not for swimming but a good beach location. Restaurants and bars all along the beach strip to choose. Even though it is still reasonably quiet, with a lot visitors.
