unfortunatly this beach although it appears clean is spoiled by the fact that is filled by long tail boats which makes it neigh on impossible to swim in , the boats could easily be all contained in a smaller area therebye freeing up some of the beach for bathers

No this is not a swimming beach, but it is a great little seaside area to visit. Beautiful views of assorted types of boats docked right beside your seaside restaurant table...fresh seafood in abundance, kind staff from the local eateries, a couple of reputable massage spas, and you have the makings of a really nice day & evening visit, or... Rawai beach, is not actually a beach. It's a fisherman's moor along with speed boat area. The beach itself is dirty and tiny. Go for the market! It's a small strip at the end of the road that sell fresh seafood and seashell trinkets. There's a few seafood restaurants there too. You can also catch a long tail or speed... More

Rawaii beach is more a boat launch area than a typical beach. I wouldn't swim or laze about here, but there are some great local restaurants along the water. We ate at a few different venues and really enjoyed all of them. There is also a large jetty that offers some great views.

Rawai is not a swimming beach. It's where you go to eat, relax, take in the views of the outer islands. You can get a long boat out to Coral Island and many other islands. Please remember though not to throw your rubbish/trash/garbage into the ocean or leave it on the islands bring it back with you. And dispose of... More

Experience Thai at its best. The sunsets are exquisite and romantic. The restaurant promise fresh tasty food. Perfect setting to wide down your day after eventful shopping. There are some of the best restaurant on this stretch of beach. Sunsets that will leave you breathless. Stillness and just the true peace of Thailand can be found and experienced here.

Passed by one afternoon, a local fishing community base themselves here, nothing wrong withe the beach but if you make it this far south take another ten minutes and head to Kata or Karon beaches…much better

Rawai beach is worth a visit, the vieuw is spectacular. , and the changes recently makes it far more attractif to sit down and have a meal at any of the beachfront restaurants.
