Booked a 4-stop day trip via hotel using World Travel Service Ltd. Our guide, Mee, was a lovely lady and very knowledgeable. She gave each of us flowers, incense and gold leaf and talked us through the prayer/ceremony process, which was a lovely experience. Temples likes stand out. Almost same quality as Wat Yai in Phitsanulok. Very nice and authentic images and wall paintings. Amazing prangs. A beauty. Before you go you should Google a bit so you know what you are looking at.

One of the big three temples in Phetchaburi and the towers stand out for miles and can be seen from anywhere in town. The wall paintings are amazing albeit slightly faded and the Buddhas make a good focal point. The only down side is that it is in a noisy part of town which takes away its mystical charm somewhat.

The decorative stucco reliefs are fascinating masterpieces! Testimony to the province's fame for artisans skiled in making stucco reliefs. These masterpieces dazzles in the sunlight, accentuating the reliefs which adorns the upper part of the buildings.
